Memorial Day weekend gives us a great excuse to get together with friends and family, but you want to make sure you come to gatherings prepared. Usually, the host is already set on meats to grill, as they've probably been preparing for a while.
That's not to say you should show up at the front door empty handed. While presenting the host with a bottle of wine is a nice gesture, you may want to consider contributing to the feast. Bringing a dip is a great idea, as everyone can enjoy it as they mingle.
Brighton Gardens of Raleigh, North Carolina, came up with a great Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe that is sure to please everyone. However, we recommend substituting fat free versions of the cream cheese, ranch dressing and cheddar cheese, as this can help reduce your caloric intake.
"So Good" Buffalo Chicken Dip
Brighton Gardens of Raleigh
1 pound cooked diced Chicken
2 8oz packs cream cheese
1 5oz bottle of hot sauce
1 8oz bottle ranch dressing
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
Chips to serve (Fritos scoops work well, we also recommend celery and carrot sticks)
Cream together cream cheese, ranch, hot sauce and half the cheese. Add chicken and mix well.
Pour into 9X9 baking dish top with remaining cheese. Bake for 20 min. or until heated all the way through.
Serve hot with chips and vegetables.
