In Tuesday’s first annual Sunrise SeniorEats™ Nutritional Challenge at The Fairfax, a Sunrise community in the Washington, D.C. metro area, five chefs from Sunrise communities across the U.S. and Canada closely competed to win the title of Sunrise Signature Chef. This cook-off competition highlighted and celebrated the best Sunrise community chefs and their nutritious specialties. Bob Brown of Sunrise of Norwood, Mass., took home the title with his Cod in Tarragon Tomato Broth recipe.
Other finalists and their dishes included: Robert Robertson, Sunrise of Oakville (Ontario), Halibut with Apple Slaw; Angela Nawrocki, Sunrise of Worthington (Ohio), Fettuccini with Walnut Cream Sauce; Eric Horner, Sunrise at Ivey Ridge (Ga.), Cornbread Crusted Trout with Black-eyed Peas and Tomato Concassé; and Robert Kowalske, Sunrise at River Road (Ariz.), Arugula Quinoa Salmon Salad.
