Meet some of our experienced team members here at Sunrise at Montgomery Village, MD.
In 2005, while searching for a community for her father who was living with dementia, Kathy visited Sunrise and fell in love with the Reminiscence program. A few months later, she was offered a job at Sunrise of Pikesville, MD. With her extensive background in sales and marketing, she joined the team as the Director of Sales with the singular mission of making a difference in the lives of seniors.
Kathy now serves as the Executive Director of Sunrise at Montgomery Village. She says that every day she finds a way to help a resident, family member, guest, volunteer or another person within the community, which she finds very fulfilling.
In her spare time, Kathy is a mother to five children and grandmother to six grandchildren. She loves to spend time with her family and occasionally take a cruise vacation.
Prior to joining the Sunrise at Montgomery Village team just over a year ago, Ron worked in the home health care field and at a hospice company. Ron says his favorite part of his job is bringing more seniors to Sunrise.
In his spare time, Ron is a father to two children and enjoys the gym and the outdoors.
Andrew has been with Sunrise for the past four years. He decided to work for Sunrise after volunteering in his local community.
Andrew’s favorite part of his job is sitting and talking with the residents and getting to know them personally. He loves being surrounded by others who are driven by a passion to serve seniors.
When he’s not at work, Andrew is a husband and a father to an adorable 3-year-old. He loves gardening and metal work in his spare time.
Catherine has been a nurse at Sunrise at Montgomery Village since July of 2006. Before joining Sunrise, she worked as a nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD.
Catherine says her favorite part of her job is having the privilege to care for our residents during difficult times in their lives. For the residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia, she appreciates being able to travel on their journey with them.
According to Catherine, the team environment is what sets Sunrise apart. The residents and families know and trust that they made the best decision in allowing Sunrise to care for their loved one.
During her spare time, Catherine loves to spend time with her family and children, cook and volunteer in the children's ministry at her church.
Jose has worked for Sunrise at Montgomery Village for the past 16 years. He loves working closely with the residents and making a difference in the quality of their lives. A positive dining experience is key to that quality!
In his spare time, Jose is a husband, father and grandfather and loves to watch soccer games and work on his yard with his daughters and grandchildren.
