Welcome to our community! Let us introduce you to some of the serving hearts who serve at Sunrise of Burlingame. Thank you for stopping by and we look forward to meeting you in person soon!
“I’m proud to work for a company that is truly dedicated to the residents and I love working alongside the most talented team in our field. I began working in senior care in 2001 after graduating from George Washington University and joined Sunrise in 2004.
While interning on Capitol Hill, it became very clear to me that taking care of our senior population would be the biggest challenge of my generation. My grandmother developed Alzheimer’s disease and I spent a lot of time visiting her in an assisted living community. I decided that I wanted to help and work with seniors to make a difference. I have also received my Master’s in Gerontology and feel proud to be part of the Sunrise family!”
“I chose Sunrise because of the commitment to care, and the difference we make and continue to provide independence for all residents. I became a part of the Sunrise family in 2011 and have been supporting a number of Sunrise communities in the area, focusing on training our team members to the Sunrise standard.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Sacramento State University, but my desire to get into the senior living field comes from my own personal experience with my grandfather who was in need of senior living due to dementia.
In my spare time I most enjoy being with family and friends – and football season, of course!”
“I started working for Sunrise in 2014. I have 20 years of experience in the health care industry and 10 years of experience advising families about resources for long-term care.
My favorite part of my job is meeting families who allow me to help navigate the options available for their loved one, whether it is moving from their own home or navigating through a crisis. I am passionate and dedicated to serving families during what can be the one of the most difficult times to make decisions about a loved one’s care.
The best part of working at Sunrise is creating relationships with our residents and families. My Sunrise family has brought me joy, knowledge and meaningful life experiences.
In my spare time, I enjoy being a mother to three boys. I spend time at their baseball games year round. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling and attending San Francisco Giants baseball games.”
"I have been honored to serve the residents of Sunrise Senior Living since 2008 and continue to take great pride in maintaining a high quality of clinical care. As a healthcare coordinator my passion lies in improving the quality of life of our residents and supporting loved ones through the journey. I have the added privilege of mentoring fellow nurses within numerous Sunrise communities and was awarded “Healthcare Coordinator of the Year” for our Western communities in 2015. I am a Bay Area native and am blessed to be surrounded by family, including a wonderfully supportive husband and an incredibly energetic toddler. My free time revolves around whatever my little girl’s heart desires."
