Meet the members of our talented team here at Sunrise of Cascade, MI.

deborah rost

Deborah Rost

Executive Director

Deb has been with Sunrise of Cascade since 2006, and she helped open the community in 2007.  She served as the executive director at another community in Grand Rapids for eight years prior to coming to Sunrise.  She also has experience running a staffing agency.

Deb’s favorite part of the job is ensuring that the residents at Sunrise have the best possible care. She gives her heart and soul to everything she loves, including her work at Sunrise.  She has an open door policy - staff, residents and families can always have her ear.

Outside of work, Deb enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, Mila and Hunter.

jeanne curtis-fedewa

Jeanne Curtis-Fedewa

Director of Sales

Jeanne joined the Sunrise of Cascade team five years ago. Her favorite part of her role as the Director of Sales is interacting with our residents and their families

According to Jeanne, “Sunrise feels like my home away from home.  My teammates are like family and there is always a resident willing to share a laugh, smile or a hug.”

In her spare time, Jeanne enjoys watching her son, Sean, play soccer for Midwest United.  She has a husky named Benton who “sings” and enjoys a good bedtime story.

donna barber mccann

Donna Barber-McCann, RN, CDP

Resident Care Director

Donna started at Sunrise in February of 2016.  She worked in geropsychology for many years and has experience in home care, geriatric psych care and clinical management.  She worked in skilled nursing at Porter Hills in Grand Rapids and her roles included staff nurse, clinical management and education.

Donna’s favorite part of her job is working with our residents, listening to their concerns and providing support. At Sunrise, she says, she appreciates that she’s able to serve as an advocate for the wellbeing of our residents

Outside of work, Donna and her husband, Lyle, love the outdoors and camping.  She finds great pleasure in gardening and doing yardwork.  Tapping their maple trees and making maple syrup has become a beloved tradition with family and friends.  Together, she and her husband have five children living all over the country and five grandchildren with a sixth on the way.
