Deb joined the team at Sunrise in 2003 as a Business Manager. After several promotions, she has served in her current role of Executive Director of Sunrise of Roseville for more than eight years. In addition to acting as a 1:1 trainer and a GS:3 Leadership trainer, Deb has mentored many of her team members to achieve Sunrise Coordinator positions. According to Deb, her role as Executive Director enables her to impact Sunrise residents, families and her team. She adds that she is proud to work at Sunrise because the company continuously evolves in its methods in caring for seniors. “We are people caring for people; not just employees seeking monetary gain,” she said.
Deb’s mother was part of the Sunrise family as well, serving as a Sunrise Wellness Nurse for 26 years. In her spare time, Deb loves spending time with her extended family at their cabin in Northern Minnesota and fishing, reading and relaxing.
As Director of Sales, Dana says her favorite part of her role is the opportunity to hear each resident’s story and to work with them to help make their lives better. She helps residents through the moving process and acts as a trusted resource for family and friends.
“It is important for me to believe in the company I am working for,” Dana said. “I can confidently stand behind Sunrise.”
Amber joined the Sunrise family at the age of 15 as a server. Upon graduating high school, she attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and learned the foundational skills of cooking. Ultimately, she says she chose to stay with Sunrise because of the company’s belief “in the philosophy of scratch cooking and incorporating seasonal ingredients to the menus.” Since joining Sunrise in 1997, Amber says she is rewarded each day with the knowledge that she is providing great food to our residents. She now serves as the Cluster Dining Services Coordinator, and says she is proud that Sunrise uses feedback from the residents and their families to impact the menu options and ideas. Cara has served as a Sunrise Wellness Nurse for nearly a decade, and in that role it is the opportunity to ensure that Sunrise residents have a better quality of life that she enjoys most. Cara’s belief in the company was solidified when her grandmother moved into a Sunrise community and she was able to experience the care and dedication the team provided her own family member. Cara said she also enjoys working with residents’ families and helping provide them a peace of mind that their loved one is being cared for in the way they deserve.
