Meet the experienced members of the team here at Sunrise on the Scioto, OH.
“I have been with Sunrise for seven years. I have worked in assisted living communities since 2001 and I was a Reminiscence Coordinator for three years before coming to Sunrise on the Scioto.
I enjoy making a positive impact in our residents’ lives. Sunrise has a great mission and philosophy. Seeing the impact that quality care has on our seniors is phenomenal.
In my spare time, I am always with my family. We love to be outside! Fishing, camping and bonfires are just a few things that we enjoy.”
“After five years of serving here at Sunrise on the Scioto, I have developed close relationships with my fellow Sunrise team members. At work, I’m able to be myself and have fun with my Sunrise family. Throughout the years, I have enjoyed engaging with the residents and building lifetime bonds with them.
When I’m not at work, I like spending time with my children and family.”
“I have prior experience with the elderly through working at Berger Hospital in Circleville, Ohio, as a patient care technician for three years and experience working home health as an aid for two years. I also assisted my grandmother in the care of my grandfather before his passing in 2009.
My favorite part of my job is giving our residents a purpose in life. They share stories with me about their prior professions, how they raised their children and what their everyday life was when they were young. At the end of the day when I go home, I feel satisfied that I did everything I could to make my residents happy and comfortable.
At Sunrise, we have a team of employees who are amazing at what they do. They genuinely care about the residents; they look out for their best interests and are always willing to speak up and advocate for them.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, my 8-year-old son, my 4-year-old son, my 11-year-old stepdaughter and our new 4-month-old Great Dane puppy. We like to go out for ice cream and visit the park. Most of the time, we really just like to lounge around the house and cook out on the grill, pop some popcorn and turn on a good family movie.”
“For the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to make a difference in our seniors’ lives here at Sunrise on the Scioto. Our residents are like family members. When they hurt, we hurt. And small actions – such as a hug – can make a huge impact.
I love it when our residents tell us about their lives. THEY make Sunrise on the Scioto the charming, loving, fun place it is. We care so much about them, and they care about us just as much. I am blessed.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy gardening and spending time with my granddaughter.”
