There is lots of “buzz” circulating about The Fairfax!
The Fairfax was recently named the first certified Wildlife Sanctuary by the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia! This is exciting news for our community which includes a seven-acre lake and numerous green trails, perfect for thriving wildlife. Now over 40 species of birds and butterflies call The Fairfax Wildlife Sanctuary home, and we are especially interested in attracting more monarch butterflies whose population has declined drastically in recent decades and may potentially be added to the federal endangered species list. Read the press release here and this article on The Sunrise Blog for more information!
