Chill Out With A Virgin Pina Colada

When lounging by the pool and socializing with friends, you may want to kick back with a fruity drink. The problem? You would prefer to avoid alcohol. Never fear, there are plenty of drink recipes that don't include alcohol, but still pack the same great flavors.

Nothing says summer like a Pina Colada. Most people tend to add rum, but don't worry; not only can this drink be made nonalcoholic, but has also come up with a recipe that won't have you worrying about heavy calories.

Skipping the heavy cream usually found in a Pina Colada, this version utilizes coconut milk for a refreshing twist. The recipe points out that canned pineapple in syrup can be substituted for pineapple with its own juice for a sweeter drink.

Virgin Pina Colada

2 ounces coconut milk
1 1/2 ounces crushed pineapple
1 ounce pineapple juice
1/4 cup crushed ice
1 tablespoon brown sugar

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for 30 seconds or until smooth
Garnish with an orange slice or pineapple wedge - and enjoy!
