Spread the cream cheese on half of the slices of bread. Spread the preserves on the remaining slices of bread. Make four sandwiches by topping each cream cheese slice with the strawberry preserve slice.
Melt the butter on a griddle over medium heat. Dip each sandwich in egg batter for a few seconds on each side. Add to the griddle and cook for 3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove French toast from the heat and slice in half on the diagonal. Serve immediately with a dollop of Greek yogurt, almonds and strawberries.
