A 2016 Spring-Summer Sunrise Dining Update

, VP, Dining Services  |  March 30, 2016

It may not feel like spring just yet, but we are already looking forward to the fresh and delicious flavors of the season with our upcoming spring/summer menu, which began on March 27 for mansion communities. Our independent full service communities will transition to this menu on May 8.

With the changing seasons come some seasonal favorites such as BBQ, corn, tomatoes, zucchini, asparagus, peaches and berries, along with our tried and true favorites, such as roast turkey and meatloaf.

Not in the community and curious what’s on the menu for the week? All of our assisted living dining menus are accessible online! Take a look at your community webpage’s dining tab, where you can find the complete nutritional analysis for each menu item. You also have the option to sort the daily menu by nutritional attribute, such as low-fat or low-sodium, and combine items to create the nutritional analysis for an entire meal. I recently spoke with Food Service Director Magazine about these online menus, as well as our National Strategic Partnership for the USDA’s MyPlate program. I invite you to read more here.

As always, your feedback is so important to us and makes a huge impact on our menus. Whether it’s through resident council or speaking with your community’s dining services coordinator, please continue to share with us your thoughts and concerns so we may continue to create an even better dining experience for you.

It’s a pleasure to serve you and your loved one.

Vice President, Dining Services at Sunrise Senior Living
