Nurses Week Spotlight: Elaine Daniels

Elaine Daniels

During National Nurses Week (May 6-12), we are honoring the nurses in our Sunrise family who work tirelessly to create a safe, loving and happy environment where our residents can flourish. Elaine Daniels is one of these exemplary nurses. During her time as the Director of Nursing Services at Stratford Court at Boca Pointe, she has redefined her role to include intangible responsibilities, such as creating a connection with every resident and serving not only as a caregiver, but as a friend.

“Elaine has a heart of gold and always puts residents’ safety and care above all else.”  - Kevin Mitzner, Skilled Nursing Administrator, Stratford Court at Boca Pointe

Elaine’s fellow team members say they cannot recall a time in more than a year that she has worked fewer than 12 hours a day to ensure that residents and families are happy with the care that is being provided. She is hands-on and puts an incredible amount of effort and detail into her work. The culture she has created is one of excellent resident care, the highest of safety standards, teamwork, respect, passion and trust. She is the reason that so many residents and families fall in love with our community, and today we celebrate Elaine for her outstanding service.

Join us in celebrating a nurse who has made a difference in your life this week. Share a photo or story about your favorite Sunrise nurse on Facebook or Twitter and use the hashtags #SunriseCares and #NursesWeek.
