Executive Director

"I started at Sunrise Senior Living in September of 2000 right here at Bedford Court as the food and beverage director. In 2010, I was promoted to an executive director position and have worked at Montgomery Village, Fox Hill, and The Jefferson for seven years.

I am so happy to be back home at Bedford Court. I love working with our residents and families to help make a difference in their lives, from influencing our dining and recreation programs to hiring the best team members for our community.

I love working at Sunrise because this is a company that truly understands seniors and their needs. Sunrise’s regional support and visionary initiatives put us at the top of the senior living field. Sunrise’s mission to, 'champion quality of life for all seniors' says it all.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband George and Shih Tzu, Dakota. I also love cooking and entertaining, dancing, reading, going to movies, and traveling.  


Elena Benedetti Price

“I have worked at Bedford Court since January 2011. Prior to coming to Bedford Court, for more than 20 years, I worked as a sales/retirement counselor for other continuing care retirement communities.

I love meeting and helping families and customers each and every day. I believe in the idea of senior communities; I have seen firsthand how they have the power to kindle friendships. It is my pleasure to help our customers and families find joy here at Bedford Court!

The best part of working at Bedford Court is the relationships that we have with our residents, families, and team members. For me, it’s not just a job. I am here because I love working with older adults, just as the rest of the team does. It’s a joy to serve them and come to work every day.

When I'm not at Sunrise, I like to spend time with my husband, son, and family. I love to cook! Every Sunday, my Italian heritage comes out and the whole family gets together for dinner—even my dog Nikki, who has to have a meatball. I also love to bake, read, walk the dog, go to the movies, and get together with friends.”

"I have worked at Sunrise since 2010. I started as a Concierge at Sunrise of Silver Spring and shortly after, I transferred to Bedford Court. A year later, I was promoted to a Sales Associate and was later promoted to Director of Sales and have worked in this role since.

I love that I get to interact and build relationships with the residents and their families whom chose to make Bedford Court their home. I enjoy learning from our residents and listening to their life experiences. The best part about working at Bedford Court is my work family. It makes a big difference to work alongside supportive, compassionate, and genuine people.

Outside of work, I juggle a number of things like trying to keep up with my daughter whom keeps me on my toes, spending time with my family, staying abreast with my education, obsessing over doing house chores, and catching some sun rays whenever the weather permits. I love to travel, work out, read quotes, bake, cook, and listen to reggae and soca music."

"I have worked at Sunrise since October 2015 and in the senior living industry since 1992. Throughout my career, I have also worked in various healthcare settings, specializing in operations, management of personnel and staff development, human resources, marketing, customer service, and financial management.

At Bedford Court, I love cultivating positive relationships with everyone I come in contact with—the residents, their families, and my fellow team members. This includes defining expectations, mentoring team members, and motivating my peers to achieve and deliver the highest quality of care and customer service with compassion and purpose. I love being part of an organization that is dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents and empowering its team members.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, engaging in Theocratic-educational activities, cooking, event planning, drawing, and sketching.”

“I have worked as a skilled nursing admissions director since 2010. I enjoy working with residents during times of need; it’s fulfilling to see them go from the hospital to walking out of rehab smiling, looking and feeling like a brand new person. When I’m at home, I like to spend time with my husband, Scott, and my three-year-old, Jack.”

"I have been a certified activity director for 11 years and have worked with seniors since 2004.

Planning activities that our residents enjoy and seeing them engaged in those activities is always rewarding. I enjoy being surrounded by coworkers who are passionate about working here!

In my spare time, I like to play the flute, spend time with family, create art, go to church, exercise, and spend time outdoors in parks.”


Elizabeth H. Glazer
Activities & Volunteer Coordinator
"I've been part of the activities profession since 2006 and was trained as an Activity Director Certified with a specialization in memory care through the National Certified Council for Activity Professionals. I have loved applying that experience to my role at Bedford Court.

My typical day has many favorite parts: when I walk around the neighborhoods and receive a smile from Mike or a hug from Annie; a kind word from Elaine; a ‘thank you for everything you do’ from Molly. Bedford Court is unlike any other place I’ve worked—I genuinely enjoy waking up in the morning and going to work!

I also get to share my dog, Bindi, with our residents. Bedford Court believes in the value of pet therapy, so Bindi is here daily! We also have a house cat, Eddie, and 3 aquariums in our building. Bedford Court has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of team members, positively affect the daily lives of our residents, and find fulfillment in my own life.

When not working, my husband and I delight in travelling to visit our families in Virginia and New Jersey, especially our three perfectly precious (and precocious) nieces. We love antiquing, art/crafts shows, and spending time with our friends. We enjoy playing trivia games, bike riding, and going to movies. I’m an avid reader—favoring mysteries, suspense, romance, travel, and biographies. I also love cooking and baking and collecting cookbooks."

"I am genuinely impressed with the way the Bedford Court team embraces and promotes our mission-to champion quality of life for all seniors-in our care. I am pleased to be a part of that.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, and traveling to fun and exciting places, both domestically and abroad. Of course I would be remiss if I did not mention cheering for my favorite NFL team during football season.

I am delighted to be at Bedford Court. It gives me an opportunity to use my professional talents to serve others, which I believe is my purpose."

“My background started in sales and marketing with Choice Hotels many years ago and I was fortunate enough to move into nursing, specifically geriatrics, as a second career and have found my true calling. I have always worked in geriatrics and joined the Sunrise family in November 2015 as a resident care director of Sunrise at Fox Hill. In March of 2017, I moved to Bedford Court as the director of nursing.

My favorite part of my job is educating the nursing team to make a difference in the lives of those in our care. The best part of my job is my fellow team members that I work with each day.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my 11 year old son and visiting museums in the winter and going to the pool in the summer.”

“I have worked for Sunrise since March of 2017. I began as a certified nursing assistant and medication technician. After completing my registered nursing (RN) degree,I worked in the Skilled Nursing and LTC center for three years. My first management position began in an adult medical daycare as a medical program manager and then a RN manager.

My favorite part of my job is meeting new people and developing a trusting relationship with the residents, guests, family and staff. The best part of working at Bedford Court is the positive and uplifting environment.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family going to the zoo or visiting D.C. to walk around and explore the museums. My family loves the outdoors, especially when the weather is warm and sunny.”

“I joined Bedford Court in September 2016. I graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a degree in social work in May 2001 and started working at my first retirement community in July 2001. I have been working in the healthcare field ever since.

I moved to Maryland from Finger Lakes in New York in August 2007 to be closer to my triplet sister and brother. My favorite part of my job is working with seniors; they give back much more than I can ever give. I am also blessed to have the privilege to bring my Bichon Frises, Rue and Finn, to work with me. They bring so much joy to the residents, families, and staff. They are a positive impact in the community. The best part of working for Bedford Court is being part of Paul and Terry Klaassen’s dream, which is to provide quality of care to all seniors and being part of that continued effort.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.”

“I joined Bedford Court in February of 2017. I was excited to join a continuing care retirement community where the enhancements to the dining program would benefit the quality and satisfaction of the residents’ lives.

Bedford Court is so special to me because it’s a place where my creativity directly affects the lives of my residents. Getting to know them and they me, provides me with the ultimate experience in serving others. Bringing smiles to their faces makes me incredibly happy and proud of what I do.

When not working, I enjoy listening to music and fishing. I am married and have seven children and three grandchildren. My wife, Karen, and I also enjoy working with rescues to find homes for dogs.”
