Meet some of our team members here at Brighton Gardens of Buckhead, Georgia.
"I've had the pleasure of working for Sunrise since 2010. Within that time I was an Assisted Living Coordinator, Associate Executive Director, and Director of Training Programs. The most favorite part of my job is that it’s not a job at all. It’s a career. I feel so much joy when I come to Brighton Gardens of Buckhead. Our residents, team members, and families are happy to greet you and excited to get the day started with you. It is truly rewarding to be a part of so many people’s lives on a daily basis.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, gardening, bird watching and exercising."
"I've worked for Sunrise since 2002 and started out as a concierge. Since the first day I set foot in a Sunrise community I've loved meeting families and having the opportunity to give them peace of mind by helping them choose the best care for their loved ones. Interacting with the residents always brings so much to my day. They are walking history books full of knowledge and wisdom. In my spare time I love to travel, dance, hike, draw and cook with my son."
"I've had the pleasure of working at Sunrise since 2013. Within that time I've held the positions of concierge, activities assistant, and my current role. The favorite part of my job is building a rapport with residents that allows me to connect with them on multiple levels. I can plan programming or an event that brings back resident memories of their youth or that allows them to connect with their own family in fun, entertaining and meaningful ways. Activities is more the giving residents something to do, it is truly allowing them to “Live with Purpose” and I overjoyed that I get to be a part of that process daily.
The best part of working at Sunrise is being able to come to a place that feels like home. I enjoy coming to work each day knowing that by contributions make a difference. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling going to the gym and singing."
"In 2013, I started working at Sunrise as a Care Manager, then transitioned into the Concierge role a few months later. A year thereafter I was promoted to a Sales Assistant role, in which I worked for about a year and a half prior to my transition in my current role.
I value the many interactions and connections I make with team members, residents, families, regional supports, and outside vendors. The best part of working for Sunrise is the opportunity for growth, and the sense of family both in and across communities. in my spare time I enjoy hiking, camping, and discovering new restaurants and shops around Atlanta."
"I have worked at Sunrise since 1998. During that time, I've worked in Sunrise communities across North America, but also at Sunrise communities in the UK. The favorite part of my job is that my residents can look forward to the social aspects of their fine dining experience. Dining at Sunrise revolves around choice and variety. So, as a Dining Service Director I can support the unique nutritional needs of residents that we serve.
I really enjoy working with food, trying new recipes, perfecting my classic recipes and ultimately serving seniors. It feels good to see the positive impact that I have on the dining program and residents. I also appreciate the way our Region has close relationships with our other Georgia Sunrise communities.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, going to the gym and singing."
"I have worked for Sunrise since 2016 and love my job because I get to work with seniors from different backgrounds. My favorite part of the job is helping with the small items the residents may need from hanging a picture to fixing a television set. I enjoy the smiles from the seniors when I complete a task they request and I'm glad to have made their day a bit brighter. In my spare time, I take care of my two sons and help them with their homework. I also help around my neighborhood with sporting events for the kids."
