"I am a North Carolina native with over 15 years of experience in the Long Term Care Industry. Those years have included regional positions that have allowed me to live and travel all over the southeast but I find that my true passion lies at the community level. My philosophy has always been one that focuses on supporting my community and highlighting the hard work by our team members who are touching our residents and families lives on a daily basis. I’m a resident of Greensboro and a graduate of Greensboro College. I am an avid reader and enjoy working on my pottery wheel as well as spending time in the outdoors."
"I received my CNA in high school and worked in numerous communities while pursuing my Bachelor’s in Psychology at UNCG. After graduating, I decided to go to nursing school at GTCC where I graduated valedictorian. I am currently finishing my MBA. My grandmother had a second grade education and always said, “education is the only thing no one can take from you”, so I hope to eventually get my PhD! I have experience from ICU to home health to post-operative care. My favorite field of nursing, by far, is geriatrics. I love to hear all the amazing stories each resident has to share and feel so lucky and honored that they choose to share it with me. My goal is to assist my residents in living their best possible life. In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, two dogs, rabbit and fish!"
"I have more than 20 years of experience working in healthcare and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I have worked as a CNA, Nursing Assistant Instructor, Hospice Nurse, ER Phlebotomist, and Licensed Practical Nurse. When I am not caring for loved one, I enjoy crocheting, acting, reading and decorating. I have 2 sons who both live in Texas and I love visiting my family in Pennsylvania, where I grew up, Texas and Minnesota."
"I have been with Sunrise 8 years. I started off as a CNA in Winston Salem where I became a Med Tech, a Lead Care Manager, a Lead Med Care Manager, and Assisted Living Supervisor. I was accepted into the Department Coordinator in Training program and filled in as the Assisted Living Coordinator until I transferred to Greensboro as the Reminiscence Coordinator. October 2019 will make 2 years I have been with Greensboro. I enjoy wood work, re-purposing furniture, and photography. I love being outdoors and hiking. Being able to be at the lake with a mountain view with my coffee is my happy place."
"I have loved the ability to learn from those around me and to grow, both personally and professionally, since beginning my career in Senior Living in 2012 and joining this team in 2014. Getting to know families and residents makes every day at Brighton Gardens of Greensboro exciting. I learn something new each day, and the residents and families make me want to come in every morning and figure out how we can improve their lives and offer peace of mind. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, working around my house and spending time with friends and family."
"I am a Virginia native and made my way to NC in December 2007, after ten years in El Paso, TX and eight years in Phoenix, AZ. I’ve been in the sales and marketing industry for over twenty five years. I was introduced to the senior industry upon my arrival to NC and for the first time I realized the challenges that families were experiencing as they tried to navigate the many senior care options with nowhere to turn for help. I wanted to be a part of the solution so I took my first position as an Eldercare Advisor, then I moved into the sales role and have remained there for the last seven years. Since joining the senior industry I’ve helped over a thousand families. I’ve been with Sunrise Senior Living since July of 2019 and I’m looking forward to continuing in that role here at Brighton Gardens of Greensboro. When I’m not working my hobbies are spending time with any of my twelve amazing grandchildren and sharing in the things that they love to do. I also am the founder of a foundation in Forsyth County –the EACH Foundation, Inc., that has been supporting the children in Forsyth County Foster Care since 2013."
"It’s hard to believe it has already been 6 years since I started my career in Senior Living. Falling in love with seniors was instant and now I can’t imagine waking up and doing anything else. I started in the industry as a Sales & Marketing Manager in 2013 and transitioned to the administrative side as the Business Office Manager in 2016 with Sunrise. I am currently pursuing my Administrator’s License and I am eager to continue my career by supporting my own community in the future. I feel blessed that every day I come to work is another opportunity for me to help make a difference in the life of a resident, family or team member. In my personal time I enjoying spoiling my sweet dog, Missy, spending time with my adorable niece & nephew and attending as many country music concerts as I can."
"I have been with Sunrise Senior Living since March of 2009 and have worked as the Director of Dining Services, as well as serve as a Sunrise Group Training Leader for our region. Having a close relationship with my grandmother has given me the passion to work with seniors and champion their quality of life. I am a retired United Stated Navy Veteran who loves to travel and see the world."
"I began working in the senior living field in 2015 during a summer internship in Charlotte, NC. After being able to work so closely with older adults, I knew this was the population I saw my future career in. I joined Brighton Gardens of Greensboro in March of 2017 as the Activities & Volunteer Coordinator. I received my Masters in Therapeutic Recreation from UNC-Greensboro and I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Licensed Recreational Therapist and Certified Dementia Practitioner. I love being able to work one on one with the residents and find ways to improve their quality of life through the Live With Purpose programming here at Sunrise. In my free time I enjoy taking dance classes, spending time with friends and family, and quality time with my fiancé and dog."
"I began my journey as the Maintenance Coordinator with Sunrise Senior Living in November of 2007 in New York and joined Brighton Gardens of Greensboro in 2015. One reason I love working for Sunrise is because I get to treat the residents like they are my parents and family, which motivates me to make sure they have excellent care and service. In my spare time, I enjoy watching a good movie, playing video games and swimming."
