We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
"Though I have only been with Sunrise for a little over a year, it feels like so much longer (in a good way!). I came on board right before the COVID-19 pandemic and could not be prouder to work for such an incredible organization, especially after seeing firsthand how things were handled during such a difficult time. We truly are a family, with the wellbeing of our residents and team members being the top priority for all.
Prior to becoming an Executive Director, I first got into the field by volunteering abroad; I lived and worked in a live-in Alzheimer’s facility in Northern Italy. I am extremely passionate about senior living and ensuring our residents’ lives are filled with dignity, purpose, exceptional care, love, and fun! Spending time with them is hands down my favorite part of my job.
When not at work, I enjoy traveling, blogging, and spending time with my husband and our two dogs."
"I joined Sunrise 7 years ago as a Care Manager and worked my way up to Lead Care Manager, Med Tech, Supervisor, Assisted Living Coordinator, and now Director of Sales. I am very thankful to be part of the Brighton Gardens team and to have the opportunity to bring new residents in to experience the incredible quality of life here. We are a big family and we treat our residents as if they were our own parents/loved ones. My favorite thing about working for Sunrise is that it doesn’t matter your role, we’re all treated equally and part of a big family/team with common goals – to provide the best care and quality of life to our residents!"
"I have had the honor of being with Sunrise since 2019 when I feel I truly found my calling as a nurse through working with the elderly. Prior to joining Brighton Gardens in Middletown, I worked primarily in acute care hospital settings with a focus on Neurology and Alzheimer’s. I have always been passionate about memory care starting at a young age while volunteering with multiple organizations including Meals on Wheels, therapeutic riding centers and even just going to work with my Grandmother doing home care. I love spending time with our residents and getting to know what makes them happy and gives them a sense of fulfillment and happiness in life.
When I’m not at work, I love being outdoors hiking with my dogs, kayaking, climbing and traveling."
"It has been my pleasure to be a part of the Brighton Gardens of Middletown team since 2007. My career at Sunrise began as a server in the Dietary Department. I then advanced my career by taking the Home Health Aid Course. Twelve years later, I accepted the position as the Assisted Living Coordinator, advancing my career.
My new position allows me to continue the interaction with the staff and residents on a daily basis. This career was meant for me because of the passion and love that I have in my heart for each and every resident; they are truly our family!"
"I have been a member of the Brighton Gardens family for almost 3 years starting as a server and progressing to the Dining Serves Coordinator. Throughout my 20+ years of health care experience, I have held many positions from Activities Director to Assistant Administrator. Working with the Brighton Gardens family gives you a true sense of teamwork. A person can only hope for a job that when you wake up in the morning you love going there…and I have that!"
"I started working at Sunrise Senior Living in 2005 and love my job! I enjoy talking with and getting to know our residents. Seeing a smile on a resident’s face is the best part of my job. When I am not at Sunrise, I am spending time with my 2 daughters and husband."
"I have worked with Sunrise Senior Living for the past 21 years, with a brief stint in home care for 7 months in 2019. I decided to try home care but found it very boring and unfulfilling in comparison to my work at Brighton Gardens, so I came back and was welcomed with open arms.
Upon my return, I was asked to help with Activities and have been part of this department ever since. I also help out in Dietary. In my 21 years, I have worked as an Assisted Living Lead Care Manager, Med Tech, Activity Assistant, and Server. With this wealth of experience, I am able to communicate and empathize with my residents as I interact with them. Just putting a smile on their faces makes me feel as if we made their day. Being with my residents every day has taught me loads of patience. I’m glad to be a part of the Activity team!"
"I have worked as the Maintenance Coordinator at Brighton Gardens for the past 5 years. It’s my first role in the senior living industry and I absolutely love it! The best part is learning about what our residents have done in their younger days – business, war, children, accomplishments, etc.
When I’m not maintaining the community or BBQing for residents, or driving them to Atlantic City, or calling Bingo, or running poker games, I enjoy the outdoors (fishing, boating, camping, and hunting). I also enjoy spending time with my wife and two adult children."
