We’re expanding operations and welcoming brighter days.
Brighton Gardens is built on a commitment to our residents and their families. We believe no two people are alike, so the services and attention we provide should never be exactly the same. That’s why we also offer a variety of lifestyle, service and care options. By providing these choices, we not only offer solutions for today, but we provide the security of knowing that there are options for tomorrow.
"Born and raised in Omaha, I graduated from Methodist College of Nursing in 1993. My passion for senior care led me to obtain my Licensed Nursing Home Administrator License in 2017. I have had the opportunity to manage several different departments, feeding my thirst for knowledge. I married my high school sweetheart and together we have a daughter, Lauren and a son, Ian. We love to travel all over but my favorite places to go have clear blue skies and mountains! In my spare time, I like to dabble in photography."
“My name is Lisa Nastase and I am a physical therapist assistant and will be the rehab director for Brighton Gardens. I am an Omaha native and graduated from Clarkson College in 2004. I have worked in skilled nursing and home health since my graduation from PTA school. I am passionate about helping our older adults achieve success in their lives to allow them to improve quality of life as long as they possibly can. I am married with two daughters and currently live in Valley, NE. My family enjoys spending time together and participating in a variety of recreational activities from soccer and volleyball to kayaking. I am excited about my new role at Brighton Gardens and look forward to developing strong partnerships to benefit our residents and community!”
"I absolutely love caring for people. As a nurse, I want to provide the same kind of care that I would expect for my own parents. In my time away from work you can find me spending time with my teenagers, George and Grace. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I’ve studied abroad in Germany and China, but Omaha is where I call home!"
"I am originally from Texas but Omaha is where I call home. I have worked in healthcare in one capacity or another for over 30 years. I started as a CNA and decided to obtain my nursing degree after I developed a passion for caring for people. I love to travel as much as I can! Previously I was a nurse manager in Ft. Worth, Texas and after that I worked for a nursing agency that allowed me to go to many different places! I am excited to be a part of the Sunrise Team!"
“I have been married for over 10 years and together we have a son, Parker and a daughter, Haydin. I have worked in this industry for more than 16 years and have a true passion for caring for seniors. During the summer, you can usually find me soaking in the sunshine at the lake and spending every free minute I have with my amazing family. I encourage my kids to be active and because of this I find myself taking my kids to multiple sports and activities – but I love it!
“My name is Hannah Astarita, and I am the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator. I started in July 2020, and I am very excited to be here! I am originally from a small town in central Iowa, and I studied Event Management with a Gerontology minor at Iowa State University. In my free time I love to get outside for bike rides and walks, attempt to cook new recipes, spend too much money at Target, and relax with family and friends."
"I am from Michigan (GO STATE!) but moved to Omaha in 2008 when my husband received orders to Offutt AFB with the Air Force. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003 and together we have four daughters, three dogs, two cats and a bird (but sadly, no pear tree). I studied Health Care Administration specializing in Gerontology and have worked with seniors since I was 15 years old. I am currently working toward my Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license for Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care. I love to read mystery and psychological thriller novels, I enjoy cooking new recipes, and I spend all my spare time crafting and living the soccer mom life."
"Moving into a senior living community is a significant life change. As The Director of Sales, I am able to help seniors and their families navigate a difficult and emotional decision making process. I joined Brighton Gardens of Omaha, part of Sunrise Senior Living in July of 2020. My purpose is to make a difference. Our team here lives the Sunrise Mission and are truly making a difference daily."
