"Hi! My name is Lewis. I am the house cat for Brighton Gardens of Prairie Village. I have lived here a long time! I came here with my original owner in 2009, who lived in our Reminiscence Neighborhood. After several years, my owner became very ill, so the family asked if Brighton Gardens would like to take over my care and let me stay here – in the home I had known for quite some time. My birthday is March 1, 2004. I became the house cat in 2011. I love to be loved, petted and sleep on residents warm beds. I make many people happy as they see me going up and down the Reminiscence hallways. The Employees love it that I like to go outdoors daily to hunt and do my business. I am very happy, independent and like to take naps where it is warm."
"Hi! My name is Peaches. I am the house dog for Brighton Gardens of Prairie Village. I have been employed at Brighton Gardens since August 2, 2011. At the time I was adopted, I was a very sad, hurt and abused dog. Since I am a rescue, no one is sure of my age, but the vet gave me the birth date of June 22, 2005. That makes me over 14 years old! I just love my life at Brighton Gardens. I know that I am loved and well cared for. I get a morning walk, fed twice a day and constantly loved. In return, I give love unconditionally to anyone I see. The best part of my job is the constant need to give and receive love. In my spare time, I enjoy chasing rabbits (yes, I can still run, but if I do, I don’t move well the next day!) sleeping and arranging my “babies,” which are the stuffed animals and toys that I have accumulated over the years."
