Brighton Gardens of Tuckerman Lane

Meet the Brighton Gardens of Tuckerman Lane Team

Welcome to our community! We are proud to introduce you to some of the people who make Brighton Gardens of Tuckerman Lane a wonderful place to live.

Kimberly Engel

Sales and Marketing Director

Kim Engel“I’ve worked in the senior living industry in sales and marketing for more than 25 years. Prior to relocating to Maryland, I spent eight years working as the Sales and Marketing Director for a hospice and home health services company within a major hospital system in Northeast Ohio.

One of my favorite parts of my job is meeting families, discussing options with them, and assisting them in navigating tough choices. I am proud to be part of such a dynamic and talented group of team members.

I am a mom to two great teenagers and a rescue pound pup. When I’m not working, I love catching live music and theater, volunteering at several charities that are close to my heart, and discovering all the new restaurants and venues DC has to offer. And in the fall, I can be found on my couch every Saturday watching my Ohio State Buckeyes!”

Yenny Dawson

Assisted Living Coordinator

Yenny Dawson“I have worked in the senior living industry since 1992. Throughout my career, I have worked in various healthcare and senior living environments, specializing in operations management, human resources, staff development, dining services operations, customer service, and financial management.

I am proud to be a part of an organization that continuously strives to work on process improvement, with the goal of enriching the lives of the residents we serve. My favorite part of my job is cultivating positive relationships with everyone with whom I interact, and sharing my purpose and passion with others.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Joe, our daughter, Savannah, and our Shih Tzu, Scarlet.”

Activities Volunteer Coordinator

"Coming to Sunrise is more like visiting family than working. Sitting in the bistro having a conversation, playing family games, or just celebrating someone’s birthday gives me satisfaction. Also, bringing happiness to so many families makes coming to work a personally rewarding experience.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling. My goal is to visit all 50 states and so far I have visited 36."
