Jen was born and raised in Charlotte, NC but now calls Winston Salem home. She has worked in the Food Service Industry for 25 years starting out as a prep cook and dishwasher and working her way up to Executive Chef Manager at a local hospital. She started with Sunrise in 2013 and looks forward to serving our Senior Community for many more. Her passion for Senior Living came after her Grandmother’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and the desire to better understand dementia.

"I started Sunrise in July of 2020. Early in life I knew I wanted to work in the medical field, little did I know that it would be in senior living and what better way than to serve seniors! During a good bit of my childhood my grandfather lived in a skilled nursing community and to see the care and compassion the workers had for him during his time there made me want to make a difference in the world. I now have spent eight years in senior living industry in various departments, mostly in the accounting and clinical aspect. The best part of working for Sunrise is their resident-centered approach and home-life environment which makes it a true joy to work here."

"I've worked as a leader/Director in Service Sales for over 25 years and I am happy to say that I have been here at Brighton Gardens of Winston Salem for 9 years. My favorite part of my job is assisting in finding the solution for sometimes very emotional, and difficult decisions for families, and hearing them take a deep sigh of relief, when they have found one at Sunrise.

The best part of working at Sunrise is taking pride in sharing the story of how Sunrise began, our continued growth, not just with new communities, but with our consistent training programs, team engagement, and strong  principals of service to demonstrate daily. In my spare time, I enjoy experiencing everyday life, of home, family, pets, and maybe a ride to the mountains on a two wheeler!"
