We are pleased to introduce you to some of the members of our hard-working and passionate team of caregivers who make our community a wonderful place to call home.
I’ve been with Sunrise for almost 5 years. Prior to coming to Sunrise I worked with an organization that provided residential homes for adults with developmental disabilities. I was there for 20 years. The favorite part of my job is conducting a jeopardy tournament social on Wednesday afternoons. I think the residents love it as much as I do.
The best part of working for Sunrise is engaging our residents in meaningful conversation and learning something new each time I do. In my spare time I love spending time with our two sons while taking them to various sporting events or music performances.
Jennifer Parrilla has been in the senior living industry for almost 10 years. Since becoming the director of sales for Sunrise of Alta Loma 3 years ago, she has become a job coach and is now in our executive director in training program. She has accomplished multiple sales awards in her short time with the company. In her free time Jennifer oversees a group of volunteers at her church that visit less fortunate seniors in the city of San Bernardino.
She has two teenage daughters and a step daughter who is studying to be a physician’s assistant at Cal State Fullerton. Jennifer loves working with seniors and the thing she loves most about her job is listening to their stories and knowing that they are receiving excellent care during their Golden Years.
Kimberly Leanos joined the team at Sunrise at Alta Loma as Reminiscence Coordinator in May 2018. She came to Sunrise with 15 years of experience working with adults in a residential setting, and chose to join Sunrise after visiting the Alta Loma community and seeing the team spirit here, as well as the genuine care for the residents displayed by all team members. Kimberly most enjoys spending time with residents, seeing them smile at a happy moment or a happy memory, and learning from their stories and experiences.
Kimberly is an avid animal lover, and enjoys music and reading in her spare time. She is so pleased to be able to share these interests with residents who have similar passions at Sunrise by engaging residents in interaction with and care of our community pets and leading activities involving singing and reading poetry or short stories.
Hannah Lewis is our Activities and Volunteer Coordinator. Hannah has been with Sunrise since 2015, when she was hired as Life Enrichment Manager. She now coordinates daily programming, events, and transportation for the community.
Prior to college, Hannah knew that she wanted to be involved in the movement to shift the culture of senior living away from institutional-style nursing homes to more homelike settings, so she finds joy in participating in the ways that Sunrise promotes a homelike atmosphere.
I have been with Sunrise since 2015. Sunrise has supported and helped me grow professionally throughout the years. I started as a care manager in the Reminiscence neighborhood. As a care manager I was able to learn how to really care for and communicate with the residents. I was promoted to lead care manager and soon after participated in the Department Coordinator in Training program. After completing the program I was promoted to Assisted Living Coordinator here at Sunrise at Alta Loma.
The best part about working at Sunrise is engaging with the residents and working with the frontline staff. Our team works hard to make sure they are providing residents with the quality care they deserve.
I have been working with Sunrise Senior Living for over two years. I am from Tijuana, Mexico, and I am the father of two beautiful daughters and grandfather of two boys. I live in Fontana, CA, and I am the youngest of 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
In my spare time, I like fishing and bike riding.
I have been with Sunrise for 9 years. While waiting to take my boards for my LVN I started as a Care Manager for Sunrise. As soon as I passed my boards I was promoted to Med Care Manager, then within 6 months I was promoted to Wellness Nurse. I enjoyed my time as Wellness Nurse and with encouragement from my boss I returned to school to get my RN. Graduated with my RN in 2018 and was offered the position of Resident Care Director here at Alta Loma.
My favorite part of my job is when I get to spend time with the resident’s and hear their stories. The best part of working at Sunrise is the opportunity to be part of a team where I am able serve our residents and families. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my daughter play soccer, and catching up on NETFLIX.
I have been a Sunrise Team Member since 2016, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to several communities throughout the SoCal area and experienced building meaningful relationships with residents; I look forward to continuing my career with Sunrise.
