Meet some of the members of our team here at Sunrise at Bon Air, Virginia.

TrinaTrina H. Murphy 

Executive Director

Trina began her Sunrise career in 2007 as the Health Services Manager for The Colonnades in Charlottesville, VA. After leaving the company for four years Trina earned her Assisted Living Administrators License and returned to her Sunrise family in April 2018 as the Executive Director at Bon Air. Trina has been a nurse for 15 years with the last 12 in management. Trina has a passion for serving seniors and developing others to reach their highest potentials. 

In her spare time she enjoys relaxing on her deck, reading, fashion and home decorating. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family and friends who she contributes to keeping her grounded, encouraged and motivated. Her life goal is to leave a legacy that her children, grandchildren and future generations can be proud of. 


RuthieRuthie D'Alessandro 

Director of Sales

Ruthie has been with Sunrise Senior Living for over 20 years as a Director of Sales.  This has been a wonderful place to meet wonderful people and make friends.  Helping families and perspective residents with very difficult decisions hopefully makes their loved ones transition a bit easier.  In that, she feels that she has received a second paycheck.  Ruthie feels that it's truly a pleasure and honor to work with each of our team members, residents and families.  During her off time, Ruthie enjoys working in her yard and gardens, boating and spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandson.


Susan Susan Jacobs

Assistant Director of Sales

Susan’s first career was as a corporate accountant and then she moved to her most rewarding career as a stay at home mother for over 17 years.  Upon re-entering the workforce, she decided to go back to school and change direction from accounting to human services.  Susan brings to the sales department her business knowledge and compassion to help families find solutions to assisted living and memory care.


MarquettaMarquetta Gough 

Activities and Volunteer Coordinator 

Marquetta Gough joined the Sunrise of Bon Air team in 2018. Marquetta, previously worked for five years at our community in Charlottesville, VA. Marquetta has been providing activities to seniors for over 15 years. Marquetta, enjoys being able to make a difference in the lives of her residents daily Her  objective  is to ensure sure that every resident is invited, encouraged, and assisted to participate in meaningful engagement as often as possible.  In her spare time, Marquetta enjoys reading, shopping, and conversing with others. 


DarleneDarlene Baldwin

Health Care Manager 

Darlene Baldwin is the Health Care Manager at Sunrise at Bon Air, where she oversees The Wellness Department as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Darlene has been with Sunrise at Bon Air since its opening in 2007.  
Darlene’s passion when she walks through Bon Air is the wellbeing for all seniors, especially her seniors at Sunrise. Darlene, is the 2019 Recipient of the Quality in Care Award for her exceptional care our residents. 
Darlene enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her daughter Desiree, going shopping, and on nice days relaxing on the beach. 


Clydie Clydie Einstein-Walsh

Reminiscence Coordinator 

Clydie grew up in Washington DC area but has resided in Richmond, VA for a number of years. Clydie joined Sunrise at Bon Air in January, 2013. Clydie’s background is in Art and Psychology. Clydie says she knew the moment she walked into Sunrise in her soul, she felt at home. Working with the residents has “become one of the great joys of my life.” “The team has become my extended family and I awake daily looking forward to seeing my  resident’s and team. For Clydie this not a job or career, it is an enrichment of her life.


MeredithMeredith L. Whindleton Jr.

Dining Coordinator 

Has been with Sunrise at Bon Air for almost 6 months. Meredith’s culinary career expands 23 years. He has travelled around the World where he has honed his skills and love of food. Meredith is a graduate of the World renowned Le Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Arts.

Meredith enjoys golf, tennis, fishing, hunting & vacationing with his family in his spare time. He also is a diehard Washington Redskins fan. He is a veteran of the U.S Marines & U.S. Army  


Ray Reyes

Maintenance Coordinator

Ray started his career with Sunrise as a Maintenance Assistant in 2001 at Sunrise of Bluemont Park in Arlington, VA. In 2002, Ray was promoted to Maintenance Coordinator at Sunrise of Arlington, VA and has held that position for Sunrise at Braddock Glen in Fairfax, VA in addition   Brighton Gardens of Tuckerman Lane in Bethesda, MD and Sunrise of George Mason. Ray joined the Sunrise at Bon Air Team in March 2019.  Prior to his 15 year tenure with Sunrise, Ray was a Project Manager for working as sub-contractor for the government accounts in Washington, DC, where he managed a crew of 55 employees.

Ray’s favorite part of  his job is when he makes a resident happy even if it is just by fixing his/her TV or changing their thermostat to make their suite more comfortable. Ray believes, the best part about working for Sunrise is the opportunities to gain knowledge, work related and personal. His experiences helped him to understand the value of aging in place and that helped him deal with the loss of his own grandfather and father. 

In his spare time, Ray likes to rest and work on home projects, yard work, planting and cleaning.
