veronica jacksonVeronica Carter-Jackson, RN, BSN, MBA, CDAL

Executive Director

"With over 30 years as a Registered nurse, my career journey began in acute hospital settings in New York and Connecticut and branched out to careers managed care, pharmaceuticals, quality management, and home health. Finding my way to Sunrise Senior Living was an excellent way to round up all of those experiences in one. I joined Sunrise in 2017 as a Resident Care Director, serving at Sunrise at Ivey Ridge and Sunrise at Five Forks. In 2019, I moved into the Executive Director at Five Forks where I enjoy leading our entire community with the mission of Championing the Quality of Life for All Seniors!

My favorite part of Sunrise is stepping away from my office work and getting out in front of our beloved residents and awesome team members. The stories and laughter shared are guaranteed to leave you wiser and make your day a great one! In my spare time, I enjoy being in the studio as a voice over artist, interior designing, outdoor events, and precious time with my husband, adult children, and grandchildren."

Sunrise at Five Forks Team Member LindaLinda Williamson

Activities & Volunteers Coordinator

"I have been a team member with Sunrise since 2011.  My favortie part of being an AVC is playing the word games with the residents and challenging them to push themselves further each time.

To me, the best part of working at Sunrise is spending time with and learning from the residents.  Working here is like being a part of a really, large family and I learn something new from them almost everyday!

In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, crating, listening to music, and playing with my grand kids!"

Lorine Johnson

Assisted Living Coordinator

"My professional background is in business and health care. After joining the Sunrise team, I had the pleasure of serving in several roles such as Care Manager, Lead Care Manager, and Reminiscence Coordinator.  My favorite part of Sunrise at Five Forks is giving our residents a sense of purpose, when they are thinking that all hope is gone and giving their families peace of mind knowing that the hardest decision in choosing Assisted Living turned out to be the best decision!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and giving a helping hand to my church family."

Lisa Peterson, RN

Resident Care Director

"I joined Sunrise at Five Forks in January 2021 as the Resident Care Director. My background consists of 17 years in Nursing. I have a background in Med-Surg; however, I found my passion working with seniors in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing communities. I began my nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse after completing five years in the United States Army (Active Duty). As an LPN, I worked in both the Long-Term Care community setting and the hospital setting while I continued to pursue my educational journey to become a Registered Nurse. Once I became an RN, I worked in Long Term Care and was quickly promoted into managerial roles of Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing, respectively.

My favorite part of Sunrise is the various ways we as a team can engage with residents providing them with quality interactions and ensuring each moment is special to them in their unique way and meets their individualized needs. I was drawn to Sunrise in that the focus is providing a home for residents and holistic care that is resident-centered. The Team at Five Forks has passion and dedication to their individual and collective roles. We all work together to meet our residents’ needs.

In my spare time, I love to cook and bake. I also like to read. I am a mother of 2; I have a son and a daughter, and I am also a wife. My daughter is in gymnastics, so we travel quite often for her gymnastics meets. So, home life can get quite busy!"

Marlene Kapetula

Reminiscence Coordinator

"My career has had a great variety of areas that I have enjoyed. My career journey includes Emergency Medical Services, Tax Professional, Notary, Medical Missions, and a Minister. One of my favorite parts about Sunrise at Five Forks are the human connections that are rewarding to the heart and soul for both the residents and their families and me.

I enjoy being a mother to 3 amazing children. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, singing, skating, and traveling. I also officiate weddings and volunteer on mission trips in other countries."

Rickita Vincent

Business Office Coordinator

"I have enjoyed a lengthy career in Human Resource Management. I relocated from Ohio and joined our Sunrise at Five Forks team in 2019 as the Business Office Coordinator. I have the privilege of leading the hiring process when new team members join our team, managing payroll and benefits, assisting with billing and leading a great concierge team! I truly enjoy interacting with our residents, our team members, and the overall team work that everyone is committed to in making our residents smile everyday!

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, cooking and watching good movies!"
