Marivel started her career with Sunrise in 2010 as a Business Office Coordinator and became the Executive Director at Sunrise of Claremont in 2013. Marivel has over 8 years of Hospitality and over 7 years of health care experience. Marivel enjoys interactions with the residents and their families during socials, Holidays parties, and events. Marivel believes in Sunrise’s Mission, Core Values and Foundational Belief.
Rachel’s experience prior to working with Sunrise was in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Her goal is to get to know each family and resident on a personal level and ensure that each one is both happy and comfortable during their time at Sunrise. She strives to provide the best service possible to her residents and their families, by incorporating the Sunrise Core Values and Principles of Service into everything she does. Rachel is excited about the opportunity to assist you in making the best decision for you and your loved one!
Senior Living is Kendra’s second career. Kendra worked for Apple for several years before leaving in 2005 to pursue her true calling of caring for seniors. Kendra become a certified Validation Worker through the International Validation Institute training under Rita Altman, Vice President of Memory Care at Sunrise and one of the only five Validation Masters in the World. Kendra and her team have found that using Validation has helped them to better support the residents. Kendra is also a licensed RCFE Administrator. Kendra is a native of San Diego and enjoys spending time with her family especially her nephew and nieces.
Stephanie started her career as a caregiver in an assisted living community in San Bernardino California. Her leadership skills, warm demeanor, and focus on resident safety quickly lead her to a role as Director of Assisted Living, where she focused on staff development and improving resident experience. Upon receiving her nursing license, she went on further her nursing career working in home health, hospice, general medicine, mental health, skilled nursing, and others. Stephanie spent the bulk of her career as a clinic manager in federally qualified community health centers specializing in homeless healthcare and mental health services, while also serving as a board member for The City of Long Beach Continuum of Care for Homeless Services. Stephanie enjoys meeting new people and learning about the rich history of our residents. She is committed to the Sunrise Core Values and Principles of Service as she looks to encourage and inspire her team to realize their potential and create a homelike atmosphere that promotes wellness, dignity, and purpose in the lives of all our residents
Mirayda has been with Sunrise for over 15 years, where she has consistently brought the “Joy of Everyday” to our residents. Mirayda’s previous experience includes working in our Reminiscence neighborhood and facilitating the first ever Terrace Club from 2005 to 2018. Mirayda’s continued dedication to Quality Activity Programing is what motivated her to pursue her new role as Activity and Volunteer Coordinator, were she is helping our Assisted Living and Reminiscence residents Live with Purpose, every day.
Jose has held several different positions in the community but has been the Maintenance Coordinator since 2003. Jose prides himself on knowing the community inside and out and maintaining it in the very best condition possible. Jose enjoys helping the residents to be as comfortable as possible in their new home. Jose has two grown daughters and a passion for racquetball.
