How we’re responding as our vaccination rates rise.
At Sunrise at North Farmington Hills, MI, we aim to please our residents with meals that are both healthy and delicious. Our residents particularly like comfort foods and items made from scratch. The most requested dishes are different types of fish, as well as freshly made omelets.
Families play an important role in the dining experience and we encourage friends and family to stop in for a meal anytime. When a North Farmington Hills resident first moves in, families often will share recipes they know their loved one enjoys eating, and our dining team does its best to recreate these favorites. Whether a resident’s diet has restrictions due to dietary concerns or religious beliefs, we always value each resident’s input and seek it often through resident council and food committee meetings.
Under the direction of Dining Services Coordinator John Coates, our dining services team showcases seasonal produce and food from scratch. John has been working in dining services for almost 40 years. He has a degree from Kent Tech in pastry arts. John opened our Cascades Sunrise in Grand Rapids several years ago and is happy to return to Sunrise. John thoroughly enjoys serving seniors and is passionate about presentation, a quality dining experience and good nutrition.
We are pleased to share that we offer purees made with whole ingredients for residents who require the ease of a pureed diet. Learn more about our pureed diet options.
