We are thrilled to introduce you to a few of our outstanding team members who make each day special here at Sunrise at San Marino.
Rita began her journey working with seniors when she received her master's degree in aging services management from the University of Southern California. She finds it rewarding to know she is a resource for families during what is sometimes a difficult decision making process, saying "I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given to positively impact a senior's life and provide them with a loving and caring home."
In her free time, Rita enjoys hiking, traveling, playing with her dogs, and spending time with her loved ones.
Jessica has been working in senior care for the past five years. After becoming a Registered Nurse in May of 2016, she had no doubt that she wanted to continue working with seniors.
Jessica’s favorite part of working at Sunrise is the family atmosphere and getting to know each resident. She believes that it is so important to embrace what a resident is able to do and empower him or her to continue to do those things.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys exploring California and watching movies with her husband.
Penny has been with Sunrise since 2003. She’s worked as a care coordinator in both assisted living and our Reminiscence memory care neighborhood. Before joining Sunrise, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Penny’s favorite part of working at Sunrise is getting to help not only the residents on a daily basis, but also their families. Penny strives to make the residents smile, laugh, or engage in a life skill each day to ensure they’re having pleasant days.
In her spare time, Penny enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She loves to travel to different national parks and being together as a family.
Ella began her journey at Sunrise at San Marino in 2013. She began as a medication manager and wellness nurse before transitioning to her current role of assisted living coordinator. She has found great joy in being part of our residents’ lives and is honored to have the privilege of getting to know them.
Ella’s favorite Principle of Service is Celebrating Individuality, as all of our residents shine in their own way.
Rommel has been with Sunrise since 2012 and enjoys his daily interactions with residents and family members.
He appreciates Sunrise’s commitment to team members and loves that there are always opportunities to grow and be recognized.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and visiting his father.

Ray is appreciative of how the company as a whole cares about our residents’ quality of life and loves having the opportunity to help our residents live happy and full lives.
Kimberly began her career at Sunrise of San Marino in June 2007. She started out as a care manager and has held several other positions within the community. Kimberly’s favorite Sunrise Principle of Service is Celebrating Individuality and says she feels privileged to work amongst our seniors who have had incredible lives and have given so much to create a better community. She feels honored to serve the residents, whom she considers her role models, every day.
