We’re expanding operations and welcoming brighter days.
"My Sunrise career began in 2013 as Business Office Coordinator. I am a certified Assisted Living Administrator in North Carolina and I'm a licensed Assisted Living Facility Administrator in Virginia. I have been with Sunrise at Silas Burke House since February 2020, serving first as the Associate Executive Director and Executive Director as of February 2021. What I enjoy most about Sunrise is getting to know the residents and hearing their life stories. I consider it an honor to be able to support the team members who work so hard to care for our residents.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, photography, genealogy, and spending time with my husband and sons."
"I began my career with Sunrise in March 2020 as an Associate Director of Sales and Life Enrichment Manager. Earning a bachelor's degree in social work, I've always been passionate about helping families. By working for Sunrise as a Director of Sales, I get to bridge families in need of solutions to excellent, quality care. What I love most about Sunrise is its sense of family amongst our residents and our team.
In my down time, I enjoy cooking Creole cuisine, spending time with friends and family, and playing with my Boxer dog!"
"I’ve been with Sunrise since March 2019! I started out as an Activity Assistant and Life Enrichment Manager at a sister community before coming to Sunrise at Silas Burke House in October of 2020. Before Sunrise, I graduated from Marymount University in 2018 with a Bachelors in Health Sciences with a minor in Public Health. I love doing activities at Sunrise because every day is a new day! With the variety of activities and the amazing residents here I could never get bored! I love talking to the residents and learning about their lives to help intertwine their likes and interests with activities they would enjoy.
In my spare time, I enjoy doing martial arts, paddle boarding on the lake, and spending quality time with my family and fur babies!”
“I’ve been with Sunrise since May 2014. I started as a Care Manager at Braddock Glen and after 5 months I was promoted to Medication Technician. Before joining the Sunrise family I was a CNA for 9 years, working with Agencies and then decided to change to Assisted Living.
I love getting to know the residents, and making them feel at home before giving them their medication. Some residents like to share about their dreams and stories… it is nice to feel like I’m part of their family. I like working with Sunrise because we have a great team, we help each other and you know you always have someone to rely on.
In my spare time, I like to watch old movies with my kids.”
