Daniel Seltzer

Daniel Seltzer

Executive Director

“I have a master’s degree in gerontology with a specialty in long-term care administration. My favorite part of the role is building relationships with the residents and family members and helping them maintain the highest quality of life.

The best part of working at Sunrise is the focus on meeting individuals' needs.

I like to spend my spare time with my wife and three children, watching baseball, auctioning (I'm a licensed auctioneer), and taking walks.”

Teri Brantley

Teri Brantley

Director of Sales

“I’ve worked in senior healthcare since 2008, specifically for Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area and then for senior home care services, before transitioning over to Sunrise. I have a degree from Louisiana State University, and working with seniors and elderly is a passion of mine.

My favorite part of my job is working with families and helping them to find quality care for their loved ones. I enjoy being a resource to provide the best possible care, knowing their loved ones will be safe but even more so that they will find joy in their daily lives.

It’s rewarding to see families who come in feeling overwhelmed and seeing them after the move-in feeling like a solution has been found that is both safe and trustworthy. but also that their loved ones are enjoying their new life and that actually brings them more independence and freedom.

I love to read, design my own clothes, design jewelry and scuba dive. I also love spending time with my two dogs.”

Resident Care Coordinator

"I am the Resident Care Coordinator.  I was hired at Sunrise in May 2017, prior to working at Sunrise I worked in Mental and Behavioral Health as a Mental Health Specialist providing psychosocial rehabilitation services to adolescents as well as direct care inpatient care with adolescent/adult psychiatric patients and chemical dependency patients.

My favorite part of my job is the affirmation I get from the smiling faces of my residents, knowing that they are being provided with the best care possible. The best part of working at Sunrise is the relationships that are built with the residents and their families as well as the lifelong bonds that have been created with my fellow coordinators and care staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy kickboxing and binge watching my favorite shows on Netflix."

Business Office Coordinator

"I have been with Sunrise since 2013. I first started out as a volunteer where I learned that I really enjoyed working with the residents. I decided to take on the role of a care manager while working on my Bachelor’s at LSU. Once I completed my degree, I moved into the maintenance department while I worked on my Master’s where I was studying relationships of families and how they dealt with dementia along the process. After completing my Master’s, I took on the current role I am in now as the Business Office Coordinator.

I really enjoy being able to make a difference in other people’s lives, especially our residents’. At Sunrise, we aren’t just one position; we all take on the responsibility to take care of our residents. I have been able to meet so many different people along my journey with Sunrise. Sunrise offers a chance to meet people with amazing stories.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to different places, going to the dog park, and watching movies."

My favorite part of my job is seeing the residents smile. Being the AVC gives me the opportunity to have a lot of fun with the residents. I really enjoy seeing their faces light up when we try something new or just hang out and cut up.

The best part of working at Sunrise is the family atmosphere. It’s so nice to come to work and be able to laugh and have fun with residents and coworkers.
