Executive Director

"I have been with Sunrise since March of 2001. My favorite part of my job is simply that I am able to interact with our residents daily.  Whether it’s leading a group activity (family feud is my favorite), helping a resident paint during an exhibition, or just pouring coffee in the dining room, I feel those moments always bring me back to Sunrise’s mission:  'To champion the quality of life for all seniors'.

The best part of working for Sunrise is that I have the opportunity and privilege to coach, teach, and motivate my team. There is no better sign of accomplishment than being a part of a team that ultimately becomes a family.

In my free time, I spend time with my wife, Elke, who I met at the age of 14. We love to travel, indulge our dogs, and play tennis. I also love to landscape and be outdoors as much as possible."

Director of Sales

"I have worked at Sunrise Senior Living as a Director of Sales since April of 2005. My favorite part of the job is being able to help families and residents as they transition to senior living. I get great satisfaction being able to assist them during what can be an extremely stressful time. It’s also rewarding once I get to see them thrive in our community.

I love the culture of Sunrise and their dedication to our residents. I feel like I am part of a family here.

When I am not working, I love being with my husband and family. We love to explore new restaurants, go to the beach, and travel. Some of my favorite things to do are baking, bicycling, spending time outdoors, and being with my dog, Lily!"

Reminiscence Coordinator

"My name is Ashlee Traynor, Reminiscence Coordinator for Sunrise of Bridgewater, and I have been with Sunrise since 2016. I began my professional career 15 years ago as an Activity Director for a skilled nursing facility. As an activity director and certified dementia practioner, I developed a comprehensive program that incorporated therapeutic techniques that assist in the decline of expressive behaviors and the improvement of cognitive function within residents who experience memory loss.

My favorite part of my job is making a difference, creating pleasant days for our residents. Whether it is a small grin or a belly laugh, it makes my day to see our residents thrive. Sunrise of Bridgewater encompasses all of these great things. The best part of working at Sunrise is sharing the same vision with other members of the team. We all are focused on the same thing, which is to champion the quality of life for all seniors!"

Activities & Volunteer Coordinator

"I have been with Sunrise since 2017. My favorite part of the job is getting to create meaningful activities that bring enjoyment and enrich the lives of my residents. My favorite activities to do are Jeopardy and the Price Is Right. The best part of working for Sunrise is being able to surround myself with a team that cares about their residents and making a positive impact in our community.

When I’m not working, I love going to the movies, traveling, reading a good book, and spending time with my family and two cats."

Business Office Coordinator

"My name is Renee Simpson, and I am the Business Office Coordinator. I have been with Sunrise since 2005. Prior to Sunrise, I worked in the financial industry as a Commercial Sales and Operations Manager. I lead a driven competitive team that consistently ranked among the best in our region.

My favorite part of my job is interacting with our team members. I enjoy coaching and mentoring our team members to become their best selves. Contributing to the growth and development of others is my passion. The best part of working at Sunrise is the endless opportunities for career advancement, and the lifelong relationships that are formed. 

In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities and volunteering in my community through serving others."

Dining Services Coordinator

"My name is Shani Dopwell, and I am the Dining Services Coordinator at Sunrise of Bridgewater. I have worked for Sunrise since 2008, starting in Sunrise of Westfield, moving from Providence, RI where I graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Foodservice Management. 

My favorite part of my job is getting to interact with residents. Speaking with them allows me to understand how important it is to live a full life as well as enjoy stories from their past. Meeting people from all walks of life is the best part of working for Sunrise, just having a potluck lunch can show you how diverse our team members are. 

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my 13 year old son, attending Broadway plays and dining out."
