"My name is Jami Jackson and I am the Executive Director at Sunrise of Chesterfield. I’ve worked for Sunrise since 2010. I started as a Life Enrichment Manager in the Reminiscence Neighborhood, became an Activities and Volunteer Coordinator, then the Assisted Living Coordinator before starting my role as an Executive Director in 2016. I have a Master’s Degree in Business and I love combining my passion for seniors with my background in business.
My favorite part of working for Sunrise is focused on one of our Principles of Service to celebrate our resident’s individuality and getting to know each of their unique life stories. I love working for Sunrise because the model of care for the resident is so unique and puts the resident’s needs at the center of all we do. Sunrise also invests in our team member’s growth and I love watching our team engaged in learning more and growing in their roles.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, two boys and my family. We love to travel, spend time at my parents’ house on a lake in Ste. Genevieve, do anything Disney, and attend St. Louis Cardinals baseball games."
"My name is Kim George and I am the Resident Care Director. I have been with Sunrise of Chesterfield since spring 2019, I bring with me vast experience spanning multiple levels of care. From being a Certified Nurse’s Aide in a long term care community through being an Acute Care RN as well as Hospice and Director of Nursing, I have seen many changes throughout the industry. As an RN, I have chosen to continue my focus on geriatrics so I may share my experience and knowledge with others. It has been a privilege to be a part of the Sunrise Chesterfield team."
"I joined the Sunrise team in Fall of 2018, and I couldn’t be happier!
I have degrees in Psychology, Philosophy, and Medical Science. My true passion is a drive to assist and help others. I love to combine my education with my Humanistic Philosophy, because it’s always my goal to provide the best care and support possible for our residents. I spent 3 years supervising a medical geriatric facility, so I know first hand how important the right system and integrity are for the success of our residents.
In my free time I love spending time with my wife and family. I’m a country boy at heart, and when I’m not providing care for others, you can find me out at the farm with my family or hiking in the woods."
"My name is Kellie King and I am the Reminiscence Coordinator here at Sunrise of Chesterfield. I’ve worked at Sunrise of Chesterfield since 2016 and have worked in the senior living field since I was sixteen. I also have a Master’s Degree in Gerontology.
I remember visiting Sunrise of Chesterfield when I was a young girl when my mom worked here as a nurse. I love being able to interact with my residents and build relationships with them. The best part of working at Sunrise is the team that I work with.
In my spare time I love spending time with my son and watching football. My favorite team is the Green Bay Packers, “Go, Pack, Go!”
"I have been with Sunrise of Chesterfield since 2013. I was introduced to Sunrise as a vendor teaching senior fitness programs. I fell in love with the residents and asked the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator at the time if I could also volunteer to sing with my guitar for an hour after I taught my classes. Soon I found myself being handed an application from the AVC asking me to apply for the Activities Assistant job that had opened up. I have worked in the capacity as Activities Assistant, Lead Dining Care Manager, Concierge, Life Enrichment Manger and currently Activities and Volunteer Coordinator.
Each position I have held has been an amazing opportunity to serve the resident with love. I thoroughly enjoy spending time getting to know each one and they truly have become my family. Each day is a great day singing, dancing, enjoying festive parties, bus outing and much more with our residents. I am so grateful to be touched by their humor, their stories, their legacy and their great love.
When I’m not at work, I love to spend time with my two adorable little ones. They are my greatest joy. They have become the Sunrise babies and we make several visits to the community so they can see all their adopted grandmas and grandpas!"
"My name is Brandon Swanner and I am the Business Office Coordinator. I started working for Sunrise in 2008. In that time I have been an intern, a Reminiscence Supervisor, an interim Assisted Living Coordinator, and a Business Office Coordinator.
I love being a part of the hiring and training at Sunrise. My first boss at Sunrise told me, “We hire for the heart; you can teach all the other stuff.” I believe being able to find those with the heart to love on our residents in a way that surpasses the standards of other places and training them the right way ensures that our residents will receive the care they deserve and the team will look forward to coming to work each day. Sunrise’s model really puts us in a class by ourselves, and it is an honor to help carry Paul and Terry’s vision forward after all these years.
My wife and I have five boys between the ages of 5 and 17, so you can probably guess I don’t have much spare time."
