Our dining signatures at Sunrise of Cohasset revolve around choice and variety. Our dining team is excellent about providing additional menu options to those residents that are not interested in the main entrée. During our monthly resident council meetings residents are able to make specific menu requests, which are then placed onto the menu rotation as the “chef’s special” within the month. Most of our residents at Cohasset enjoy traditional New England home cooked meals, including pot roast, pot pies, lamb chops, New England clam chowder, and roasted turkey with dressing and potatoes.
Our dining room starts the day with breakfast made-to-order including eggs any style. You will frequently hear our residents requesting the banana bread recipe, which is so popular it was featured in Sunrise’s 2013 edition of the Recipes from the Heart cookbook! Many of our lunches and dinners consist of different fish and chicken preparations, which are made in a variety of flavors and marinades.
Our family parties are always well received and highlight the skill and talent of our dining service coordinator and senior dining team. Traditional holiday meals are served family-style and consist of a full spread. Our Fourth of July tradition is hotdogs and hamburgers, all-American style.
Our dining service coordinator, Michael Anderson, has been with Sunrise since 1999! He enjoys working with food, trying new recipes, perfecting his classic recipes and ultimately serving seniors. His experience in the restaurant industry has made a very positive impact on the dining program and residents at Sunrise of Cohasset.
