Lea has been with Sunrise Senior Living since 2007. She began her Sunrise career as the activities director at another Sunrise community. After seeing the increasing number of residents with memory loss, she became Reminiscence Coordinator, serving residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. She returned to Massachusetts in 2012 to serve as Executive Director at Sunrise of Cohasset.
According to Lea, the best part of working for Sunrise is knowing that our Principles of Service are alive and well. There’s an amazing history to Sunrise and maintaining that culture of caring and championing the quality of life for seniors is a special part of this community.
Michele started her career with Sunrise of Cohasset in 2015 pursuing her passion for senior advocacy. She has 25 years of combined hospitality, finance and real estate experience. Her tenured experience along with her passion for seniors contributes to her continued success as a trusted advisor in bringing Sunrise to more families.
The journey of exploration in the world of assisted living and memory care can be overwhelming for individuals, families and friends. Michele takes pride in listening and connecting with individuals and their families and creating a positive experience in providing options to best fit their needs. She is passionate and dedicated in serving families as they navigate during what can be one of the most difficult times in making a decision about a loved one’s care. When asked what she enjoys most about working at Sunrise she will tell you “creating relationships with our residents and families.” She will also tell you that it takes a “Team” to provide top care for their residents and she is proud of her “Team Cohasset.”
When Michele is away from the community, she enjoys starting her day with a walk on the beach with her handsome golden retriever, Romeo. Often, Romeo joins her at work and has become well-loved by all of the residents. She loves traveling to tropical islands and experiencing different cultures. Her love for Reggae music and the sound of the steel drums playing during a community porch event is one of her favorites.
Maria has been a part of the Sunrise team since 2010. She started as a housekeeper, transitioned to dining services while she was working towards her certification as a Nursing Assistant. Upon certification, she became a care manager working into the lead care manager position, medication manager, and then Life Enrichment Manager before her promotion to Reminiscence coordinator.
“I enjoy coming to work each day to see the residents and what I love most about my role is the relationships built among my team, residents and family members.”
Cate has been with Sunrise of Cohasset since 2010. She started her Sunrise career as a Care Manager and in 2015 was promoted to Assisted Living Coordinator. Cate enjoys her visits with residents and their families. She feels that the best part of working at Sunrise is knowing that her and her team of Care Managers are making a positive difference every day in the residents’ lives. She feels honored to be a part of it.
When Cate is not at Sunrise, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially with her 3 children. She enjoys cooking and entertaining, going to the beach, and various day trips to different places. Cate also enjoys reading and watching movies.
Michelle recently joined our Sunrise Senior Living team. She has many years of experience in the home health care and caring for the elderly. She has a passion for patient advocacy and ensuring quality of life for all seniors.
“One of my favorite parts of working at Sunrise of Cohasset is interacting with our residents. I enjoy hearing about their families, grandkids and I love seeing them smile. It inspires me to be part of organization that is very passionate, and works as a team to fulfill the Sunrise mission: To champion quality of life for all seniors.”
