Chermaine has more than 16 years of healthcare experience and has been with Sunrise for 8 of those years. Chermaine is also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Prior to joining Sunrise, Chermaine worked in an acute care setting as a LPN charge nurse and a skilled nursing facility as Unit Manager and a Restorative Nurse. She came to Sunrise with a strong and dynamic background in clinical operations, nursing, leadership and selfless service. She began her career with Sunrise working as a Health Care Coordinator, Reminiscence Coordinator, and Assisted Living Coordinator. After completion of the Sunrise EDIT program she has served as an Executive Director for the past 3 years. Chermaine brings to Sunrise a nurturing spirit, deep rooted understanding of the Sunrise Culture and systems, humility, drive for excellence and team oriented approach. She is a strong advocate for the well being of our seniors and associates.
Sharon started a career in the senior living Industry in February 2003. At that time she was not aware of her passion for service to seniors. Sharon served as the Community Activity and Volunteer Coordinator of Sunrise at Ivey Ridge, and her new passion was born. Sharon was recognized for implementing and executing a program that included meaningful engagement and a 75% growth in the volunteer program. Sharon’s programming abilities highlighted her ability to connect with seniors and their families at a phenomenal level. Sharon become a major resource and source of comfort residents and families alike. This identifiable connection lead Sharon into her next role of Director of Community Relations for Sunrise, where she has had great success in bringing more families to Sunrise. Sharon is married. She and her husband enjoy spending time together with their family.
Nicholas D. Bridges was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. As a native he has had the opportunity to build a large professional network in the senior living industry. By focusing his attention on Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and with over 10 years in leadership, Nicholas has made an impact on seniors throughout greater Atlanta. Some highlights include, raising over $4500.00 dollars for the Alzheimer’s Association as an Residents Program Director, organizing and hosting a Signature Dementia Grand Opening for the City of Loganville as a Memory Care Director, and receiving certificates and certification’s from the GaDCH, GSLA, GHCA, such as Certified Dementia Practitioner.
Nicholas has a beautiful wife of 8 years and three boys, Nicholas, Jackson, and Jeremiah. He comes full of energy, experience, and excitement.
Polly began her career in long term care in 1998 working as nursing assistant. Shortly after moving to Georgia from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2010 she was promoted to Staffing Coordinator. Polly joined the Sunrise team in March 2018. What she likes most about Sunrise Senior Living is the family based community. She also likes learning the residents interests while engaging with their families. Polly enjoys football season, and her home team is the Green Bay Packers.
Dorothy began her journey with Sunrise of Decatur in May 1998, as a Care manager. Within one month, she was promoted to Medication Manager, then Concierge, Activity Director, and within ten years she became the Dining Service Coordinator. Throughout the years, she has gained a wealth of knowledge regarding modified diets, nutrition and allergens. The part of her job that motivates her the most is greeting residents, and seeing the smiles on their face early in the morning as she pours their coffee or brings them juice. She enjoys going to church, sharing her faith, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Jonathan began working with Sunrise in June of 2017 as an accountant at Brighton Gardens of Omaha. He has been working in healthcare for over 6 years and his favorite part of working in this field is the daily interactions with the residents. He enjoys working with numbers and helping make the financial side of things a little easier for the residents and their families.
He recently moved to the Decatur, GA area after having lived in Omaha, NE for three years. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his two young boys and playing board games with his wife. He also enjoys watching a number of different sports, both college and professional.
