How we’re responding as our vaccination rates rise.
"I have worked with Sunrise for 5 ½ years. I started as a Reminiscence Coordinator, then was promoted to Associate Executive Director. In November 2017 I became the Executive Director in West Essex. In March of this year I came to beautiful Edgewater as the Executive Director. My favorite part about being an ED is that each day is different from the next. I’m able to interact with everyone in the community and am constantly kept busy, which I love! The best part about working for Sunrise is there is no shortage of growth opportunities. It also gives me the flexibility I need to balance my work-home life. When I’m not working, I enjoy going out to dinner with family & friends and going to the beach."
Emelinda has been dedicated to Sunrise of Edgewater for more than 12 years! She is a lead care manager in our Reminiscence Neighborhood.
She loves seeing how she can put a smile on the residents’ faces. According to Emelinda, coming to work does not feel like a job to her. She loves working around the seniors who live here.
Suzanne joined Sunrise Senior Living as a concierge in 2004. She has since been promoted to the Activities & Volunteer Coordinator position.
"I started my career at Sunrise as a life enrichment manager. In July 2019, I began my role as a Reminiscence Coordinator. My favorite part of being an RC is developing meaningful connections with residents and their families. There are few better feelings then when you have established a layer of trust with others. I never cease to be amazed by the frontline team. Their dedication to their work, respect for residents, longevity with the company, and heart for the population they work for is nothing short of magic. They are our real-life heroes!
In my spare time, I enjoy going for a run or hiking, taking the dogs to the park, and eating snacks."
