"I have worked with Sunrise for 5 ½ years. I started as a Reminiscence Coordinator, then was promoted to Associate Executive Director. In November 2017 I became the Executive Director in West Essex. In March of this year I came to beautiful Edgewater as the Executive Director. My favorite part about being an ED is that each day is different from the next. I’m able to interact with everyone in the community and am constantly kept busy, which I love! The best part about working for Sunrise is there is no shortage of growth opportunities. It also gives me the flexibility I need to balance my work-home life. When I’m not working, I enjoy going out to dinner with family & friends and going to the beach."
"I started working at Sunrise in January 2019. My favorite part of my job is walking into work every morning. I am greeted by so many wonderful smiling faces of our staff and residents, wishing me a “good morning”. It truly is the best way to start my day. I like working at Sunrise because I have the wonderful opportunity of meeting so many extraordinary people. As the Director of Sales, I work with families throughout their journey for an Assisted Living Community for their loved ones. And, every day I have the gift and seeing how their loved ones truly shine at Sunrise! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my chocolate lab. I love to try new restaurants. I also enjoy staying active through exercise and yoga."
Emelinda has been dedicated to Sunrise of Edgewater for more than 12 years! She is a lead care manager in our Reminiscence Neighborhood.
She loves seeing how she can put a smile on the residents’ faces. According to Emelinda, coming to work does not feel like a job to her. She loves working around the seniors who live here.
Suzanne joined Sunrise Senior Living as a concierge in 2004. She has since been promoted to the Activities & Volunteer Coordinator position.
