Since 2012, Erin has been part of our team at Sunrise of Edina helping individuals and families in search of senior living options. Erin’s personal path led her to the senior care industry in 2009 when she worked as a Patient Advocate for a Medicare Certified Home Care Agency.
She moved both of her parents into senior care communities, and understands the challenges families face when dealing with this important decision.
"I started working with Sunrise in January 2020 as the Resident Care Director. Prior to working for Sunrise, I started my career in nursing with Allina working at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. My speciality was medical/surgical, intestinal, and urinary with many of my patients being seniors.
My favorite part of my job is getting to know each and every resident and their individual preferences. This gives me and my team the opportunity to provide the consistent and quality care our residents deserve.
In my spare time I enjoy practicing yoga, visiting new coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends."
"I started with Sunrise back in 2007, but I just returned to Sunrise in January 2020 as the Reminiscence Coordinator. I’m a registered nurse, but before becoming a nurse, I was a Care Manager and a Lead Care Manager at Sunrise of Edina from 2007-2012. For the last 8 years, after getting my RN, I worked in a Skilled Nursing home and at a AL Home Care Agency as a field nurse and a case manager.
I love working with seniors and making a difference in their lives while incorporating the principles of service in their daily activities.
In my spare time I like to cook, read, watch movies, travel to warm places and most importantly spend time with my family."

“I started working with Sunrise in April of 2020, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know everyone here so far! Becoming a new member of this team during the pandemic has been an honor, and it’s so inspiring to see people working this hard together to navigate through it safely. I’m really looking forward to when we’re able to open the dining room back up and I get to meet more of the residents.
After working for 10 years in the restaurant industry, I made the transition into Senior Living Dining Services. After 10 years in Senior Living, I couldn’t be happier with that decision. I’ve grown to love being given the opportunity to cater to the residents, working with them to provide the best service I can. I learn something new every day, and my job is never boring!
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, rock climbing, playing guitar and cooking. I’m engaged to be married next Spring to my fiancée and best friend, Emma. We’re currently looking to buy our first home in the area and couldn’t be more excited.”
"I have been with Sunrise since 2014. I started as a part time Concierge in addition to my full time position asan insurance broker. Then, I became the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator in July of 2014 until becoming the Business Office Coordinator in April of 2017. I have a dual degree in Early Childhood Education that allows me to teach from kindergarten through eighth grade. I worked to improve customer experience and train new hires for a major insurance company prior to working in senior living.
My favorite part of my job is the people that I am able to be around each day. I am able to work with a caring, diverse, and unique group of people, and I love working with the residents and their families. The best part about working at Sunrise of Edina is that since we are a smaller community, we get to develop strong relationships with the residents and family members.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and traveling to warm places, preferably near the ocean."
