Welcome to our community! We're pleased to introduce you to some of the team members who make our community a wonderful place to call home.
“Prior to arriving at Sunrise of Findlay in 2012, I worked in assisted living in the Cleveland area.
My favorite part of my job is our residents and their smiles. I also love to see our team members enjoy the ‘extra paycheck’ they receive when their service has prompted these smiles. At Sunrise, there is a belief that there is a better way to provide senior care. We recognize that the best senior care has yet to be invented, and understand that we always can and should improve.
Even though my family is wildly distributed around the country, it is still my priority, so I always look forward to the opportunities to share family time outside of work. I’m also a sports lover, though I’m more a fan these days."
"I have worked at Sunrise since 2012. For the first 20 years of my career, I worked as a nurse in hospitals. For the second 20 years of my career, I went back to school for business and finance and worked in banking, finance and sales. I enjoy being part of a team that works hard to change lives by bringing Sunrise to more families.
"Seeing the joy on resident and family faces when they can relax and know our resident is being well cared for and happy is the best part of my job. This is when families can change their relationship with their loved one from caregiver to loving wife or child.
When I’m not at work, I like to spend time with my five grandchildren, travel and garden. I’m a foodie and love to spend time in the kitchen cooking and being creative."
"I have been a nurse for 30 years in critical care hospital settings, rehabilitation, long-term care and assisted living.
My favorite part of my job is resident care. I love working with families and being their advocate. At Sunrise, there is an overall family atmosphere. I enjoy getting to know our residents and their families and also our team members and their families. We have wins and losses and we grow and change together.
In my spare time, I like to camp and go to our ‘near the ocean beach’ home in North Carolina or the beach in Vermillion, Ohio. We have four kids and do a lot of 4-wheeler and dirt bike outdoor activities."
"I have been with Sunrise since 2007. I started as a wellness nurse and moved into the RCC role in April of 2013. I have 15 years of nursing experience in assisted living.
I love our residents, and hearing stories of when they were younger. They each have unique experiences that have made them who they are today. At Sunrise, we are a family. The residents love us and we love them. This is what makes what I do each day truly amazing.
When I’m not working, I love swimming, hiking, biking and spending time with my family. I will soon be loving on my first grandchild!"
