We’re excited to introduce you to some of the members of our fantastic team.
"My journey with Sunrise of Fresno started in 1998. I began as Caregiver, and a year later I was the Lead Care Manager on the AM shift as well as PM shift. Later, I became the Assisted Living Coordinator and moved on to Reminiscence Coordinator, which I enjoyed the most. I then became the RCC for about 6 years, and I am now the executive Director. I have many stories and experienced many things in my 23 years and wouldn’t change anything.
If I had to pick my favorite thing about my job, it would be interacting with the residents and bringing peace to families while walking them through their journey with their loved ones.
During my spare time, I love being with family - especially game night…we are all so competitive. I also enjoy being with my 2 grandchildren."
"I have been in sales for over 18 years, but it was my success in managing multiple properties, lease ups, and new development of luxury apartments that led me to senior living. Sunrise Senior Living is the only company I’ve worked for that regionals, vice presidents, care team, nurses, sister communities- truly everyone- is so kind, resourceful, and passionate about the well being of every resident. Our building in Fresno is particularly wonderful. I have returning families so relieved that 5-10 years later they come back for a different relative or friend and see much of the same staff! The longevity of these happy employees is a testament to the loving atmosphere and continuum of care this community has been providing for decades.
From video games to lumber jacking, I am always up to something new on my 5 mountain acres with the love of my life, 4 kids, and extended family including 13 nieces and nephews. Guaranteed abundance of laughter and great food!"
"I have been a part of this Sunrise family since 2004 when I became a Care Manager in our Reminiscence neighborhood. A few years later, I became the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator and have been doing that ever since.
I tell everyone that I have the best job in the world, and I do! I get to do all the fun stuff: daily activities, lunch outings, day trips, holidays, and anything our residents want to do. I say, if it makes you happy then do it. I am so thankful that families have chosen to share their loved ones life with us. Now its our job to make it the best life it can be!"
"Prior to becoming the Assisted Living Coordinator, I was a lead care manger for 11 years, the ALS for 1 year, and then the RCC. My favorite part of working at Sunrise is cultivating relationships with residents and their families and being part of such a close-knit community.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends at the coast and watching my favorite shows with a big bowl of popcorn!"
"I started in 2005 as a care manager and was later promoted to Reminiscence Coordinator. My favorite thing about working at Sunrise in Reminiscence is that our residents may not know my name, but they always remember how I have made them feel. To hear a resident say 'I don’t know what I would do without you' is fulfilling.
In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach."
"Before working at Sunrise, I owned and operated a large catering company in Sacramento for 20 years. I then moved to Madera to be closer to family and had another catering company for 20 years as well as owning a restaurant for 5 years. My passion for cooking always leads me, and everything I have done, to my career at Sunrise and I wouldn't change a thing. I enjoy listening to all the residents' life stories. When they laugh I laugh, when they cry I cry. I adore my residents and I am blessed to have a wonderful team at Sunrise of Fresno; both have become a second family to me.
In my spare time, I enjoy arts and crafts, working in my 1/4 acre garden and canning my wide variety of fruits and vegetables."
"What I love most is working in an environment where you can help others and really make a difference in the lives of our residents.
In my free time, I enjoy entertaining family and friends, working on our small vineyard and making wine."
"I worked in hospital/nursing homes, maintenance and owned a copier & fax repair company. I was then was hired at Sunrise on my birthday in 2000. My favorite part of working at Sunrise is giving our residents a healthy, clean environment to live in as if it was my parents or grandparents living here.
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music."
"I began my Nursing Career at Sunrise Senior Living in February 2014 in Walnut Creek. While I was hired as a medication care manager, I was soon promoted to Wellness Nurse and then to the Health Care Manager. I recently relocated to the Fresno area and was very fortunate to be accepted to the local Sunrise. It was my life long dream to become a nurse and I am so happy to be in the assisted living setting.
Having such great support from my community and regional makes working here very enjoyable and fulfilling. I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful job in an excellent community that I look forward to coming to work each day.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my two boys, husband, and my two doggies."
