“I have more than 30 years of experience in management and have been in senior housing since 2007. I began my journey in senior care while acting as primary caregiver to my mother and father. Because of my personal experience, I find it rewarding to work with families and their parents. I am proud of our company’s foundation—belief in the sacred value of human life. It is wonderful to work in an environment that holds this conviction. I also like helping team members grow professionally.
I am a member of the Grosse Pointe Artists Association. Painting in very therapeutic for me; I work with acrylics and mixed media. My favorite subjects include scenic places I have visited, cityscapes, birds, and angels.”
“I’ve been in this industry since 2005, selling all aspects of senior living. I’m passionate about what I do—not only because it’s challenging, but also because it’s rewarding in so many ways. I get the opportunity to help families find solutions for their loved ones, and I feel fortunate that I get to be a part of their journey.
Although I’ve only been at Sunrise for a short while, I feel truly blessed to be part of such an amazing company and team. It’s refreshing to see a team that lives and breathes our mission and culture in the way we serve our seniors. I’m so excited to be a part of the Sunrise team and to be able to help make a difference in the lives we serve.
When I’m not at Sunrise, I like to spend time with my boyfriend, friends and family, and my two cats. I also like to work out and be outside in the sunshine and nature.”
“I started my nursing career more than 25 years ago at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. I have been at Sunrise since 2010. What I love most about my job is working with the residents; I have a passion for caring for older adults and Sunrise provides a nurturing environment that allows me to serve our residents to provide that care.
“I have always had a passion for seniors; I have been in direct care since I left high school. I started at Sunrise of Clarkston in March of 2006 as a care manager; I was quickly promoted to lead care manager and medication manager. In early 2007, I took on the role of business office coordinator at Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods. I have been here since, and have loved every minute of it.
My favorite part about working here is caring for the residents; working for a company that puts residents’ needs first is by far the best part about Sunrise. Helping provide a voice for those living with dementia gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Every day I come into work, I know that I get to make someone’s day better and make a difference.
In my free time, when I am not running my two girls to soccer games and practices, I enjoy reading a good book.”
