“My mother has been a Sunrise for over seven years […] Sunrise is fortunate to have such dedicated and caring professional[s]!” – Resident’s child
"Sunrise of Haverford has been my home for almost 8 years, and it has truly become “my home." Residents are recognized and treated as individuals. We are treated with unfailing kindness and respect. The warm and caring staff quickly became cherished friends." – Resident
When Lois Deely moved into Sunrise of Haverford, she was adamant that artistic expressions were not her cup of tea saying, “I flunked art in school." As months went on, she was encouraged to attend the flower arranging club and gradually started to create beautiful displays. People would ask if a florist had sent them! When residents were once again quarantined this past November, Lois was inspired to try her hand at t-shirt painting: a "Live with Generosity" project with sales being donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Since then, her suite is now a craft/art studio where her artistry comes alive every day. Lois chose the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of her late husband, Lieutenant Colonel John Deely. At Sunrise, learning a new skill, exploring hidden talents, and getting up each morning with a sense of purpose is not just something said, but an accomplished reality. – Friend of Resident
