scott cozzaScott Cozza–Team Member since 2019

Executive Director

"In 2019, I was presented with the opportunity to take on the role of Executive Director for Sunrise of Henderson. After twenty years in the industry, I truly feel that I have found my home with Sunrise. The Sunrise approach to care and team member engagement is far superior to anything I have seen from any other organization in the industry. I love Sunrise as I find a deep and meaningful connection to the organization’s mission, values, and principles of service.

I began my career due to the strong connection I have with my grandmother who raised me. As a certified nursing assistant, I knew that this industry was one that I would dedicate my professional and educational life to. As the years passed, I grew in the industry and took on roles of Business Office Manager, Sales and Marketing Director and Activities Director. Each role only fueled my drive to achieve excellence for all that I served.

When I am not working, you can find me diligently working to achieve my PhD in Gerontology through a private university in Chicago IL. Aside from this I often spend my weekends on the Vegas Strip attending various concerts and jetting through the friendly skies on vacation."

"Before beginning my career in assisted living and memory care 15 years ago, I cared for my grandmother with Alzheimer’s for 2 years at home. It was this experience that lead me to senior care after university. I feel fortunate to be a part of the Sunrise team, a company that has a great reputation and offers a great care model that puts our residents first.

Associate Director of Sales

"My name is Adrienne, and I have been a Sunrise team member since 2019. I began my career with Sunrise as concierge as well as assisting various department such as activities and care. Throughout my year, my passion for our residents grew stronger and I knew I wanted to transition to a position where I could bring Sunrise to more individuals and their families.

The best part of the Associate Director of Sales position, is reaching out to new prospects that may need our care and services. I am pleased each and every time I am able to setting up a tour and showing them what sets Sunrise apart! The moment I step foot onto Sunrise property, I am immediately happy to be here. It’s been this way since the day I started. At first I fell in love with the residents and then the team. They’re amazing people that work here; not to mention Josie the house-dog.

During my spare time I enjoy golfing, hosting wine and book club in our community, reading fiction and non-fiction alike and shopping for my neighbors that no longer drive. And you cannot forget the amazing events at the Smith Center for performing arts."

Resident Care Director

"My name is Navneet Chohan and I am the Resident Care Director at Sunrise of Henderson. As a Registered Nursing my passion has always been serving others and ensure that residents are provided the highest quality of care possible, one of Sunrise’s missions! 

When I began my career with Sunrise, I was a Wellness Nurse. As the years went by, my skill set and passion drove me to apply for the Resident Care Director position and I was fortunate enough to obtain it. In my role, I believe one of my favorite aspects is teaching team members and seeing them learn and grow over time. Working at Sunrise of Henderson I get a achieve this goal with team members daily as well as build and maintain relationships with residents, families, and peers! 

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, go shopping, try new places to eat."

Assisted Living Coordinator

"My name is Raychelle Houston, everyone calls me Ray, and I am the Assist Living Coordinator here at Sunrise of Henderson Nevada. Working at Sunrise has been a joy in my life for the previous five years. I started with the company as a Care Manger yet six short months later I was promoted to a Lead Care Manger. Sunrise offers several great benefits to its team members, one being the Department Coordinator in Training program which allowed me to turn my passion into a career. Before coming to Sunrise, for years I worked in retail as a store manager. Also, I was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant over 10 years. I did both CNA work and retail for most of my life, which help me get through college, were I have my degree in criminal justice. With obtaining my degree, I quickly realized that my heart was not in in as I continued to be drawn to my passion for proving care to others. Sunrise resident and staff have brought such great joy to what I do throughout my day. I have worked for other companies so I can say this… there is no place like Sunrise!"

“My name is Ashlee Estrada ,and I pursued a career at Sunrise of Henderson 6 years ago.

I knew early in life that my calling was to care for seniors. I fell in love with the Sunrise philosophy and strong mission statement: to champion the quality of life for all seniors. 

What I love most about Sunrise is the company culture. There is a family-like atmosphere among the residents and team members. It’s comforting working with those who share your passion for seniors.”

Dining Services Coordinator

“I began my culinary career with the US Army Quartermaster Food Service Program in 2001. I began my civilian career in 2009, splitting time between hospital and casino food programs. In November 2013, I moved to Las Vegas and came to Sunrise Henderson as a cook. I later took on my current role as Dining Services Coordinator. I love being a part of this team and serving so many wonderful residents.”

Activities and Volunteer Coordinator

"My name is Brooke Kasel and I am the Activity and Volunteer Coordinator here at Sunrise of Henderson. My husband and I have been together since I was 16 years old and we have an 8 year old son. Originally from southern California, my family and I relocated to Nevada 24 years ago. Upon moving to Las Vegas, I finished High School and continued my education in Early Childhood Education at the Community College of Southern Nevada. After completing my courses, I had a change in careers and went to work for the City of North Las Vegas as a Recreation Coordinator in the Parks and Recreation Department. As a Coordinator, I planned and executed special events for the community, supervised a Senior Center and the Municipal Par 3 Golf Course. In my role with the City, I found my passion for Senior Citizens which then lead me to Sunrise. I am very creative, artsy, patient and have a passion to help others. Here at Sunrise I enjoy making a difference in each of our resident’s life, whether it be by spending one on one time just talking or creating an activity that’s suited just for them. The options are unlimited! I love incorporating our Live with Purpose program into our resident’s daily activities and seeing how it reflects their mind, body and or spirit. My goal is to encourage, invite and assist your loved one to participate in activities that they may have not done in some time. I look forward to making a difference in your loved ones life."

Business Office Coordinator

"I joined the Sunrise Team of Henderson in November of 2019. Prior to Sunrise, I spent 20 years in management and customer service. I feel very privileged and honored to be a part of the Sunrise of Henderson Team!

My favorite part of the job is talking with the residents and their family members. Each person that comes into my office deservers the best customer service that I can give him or her. The best part of working at Sunrise is knowing that every day is a new day that we can be a meaningful part of our residents lives.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, camping, and cooking."
