"I entered the senior living industry as an area controller for Sunrise Senior Living. The passion team members have for our residents led me to the associate executive director position at Sunrise of Highland Park in August 2016 and I have since taken on the executive director role as of November 2018. Every day brings something new and inspiring and I love sharing each moment with our team, residents, families and guests.
My family and I enjoy working and living in Highland Park, taking advantage of The Chicago Botanic Garden, Ravinia, local beaches, parks and festivals. It’s an honor and a privilege to be a member of the Sunrise of Highland Park team and champion the quality of life for all seniors.”
"New to the Sunrise community. I have made a career of helping families navigate through major life decisions. I am here to help educate families – either with planning for the future or in times of crisis – about available options for aging loved ones. Listening to what the families want and helping that (or as close as possible to that) come to fruition is the key component of the process. My favorite part of my job is when someone moves into Sunrise of Highland Park and thrives – giving the entire family peace of mind and joy.
I’m honored to work for Sunrise – the industry innovator. As senior living continues to evolve, Sunrise is always a step ahead of the curve. As everyone at Sunrise will say, the best senior living has yet to be invented.
In my spare time you’ll find me dancing, doing yoga, gardening, hanging with family and friends and walking my dogs.
"I am so excited to be the new ADOS of Sunrise of Highland Park. I have been in the industry for two years and have worked with people for over 25 years as a sales associate. Interacting with families and introducing them to such a wonderful community like Sunrise of Highland Park is very important to me. I am all too familiar with this industry as my loved ones needed assisted living and one even lived at a Sunrise. Hearing the residents and family’s amazing stories is really motivating and interesting to me because it allows me to relate to the people I will be spending a lot of time with. Working on a team has always been a strength of mine. I’m proud to be a part Sunrise of Highland Park and it’s caring and compassionate team. They are here to help you and your family. I’m so glad to be working for such a great company. My hobbies are yoga, going for walks, reading, and TCM (Turner Classic Movies)!
I’m excited to get to know you and your family and give you the Sunrise experience!
“My path to Sunrise was not a typical one. After having a career in law, I began to feel that I was missing something. With the advice of a family member, I decided to explore Sunrise Senior Living as a possible ‘feel good’ filler to what was missing in my life. With no prior experience in senior care, I took a chance and applied for a Designated Care Manager position. I knew from the moment I walked through the door that this is where I was meant to be.
It’s hard to believe that it has been over a decade since I joined the team at Sunrise of Highland Park. I have worked my way through different care roles in the community before moving up to Resident Care Coordinator. I love being in an environment where I can make positive changes in people’s lives every day. It truly is a pleasure being able to care for people who have lived such rich and robust lives. We have a lot to learn from our seniors, so I make sure to take time every day to listen to their stories and wisdom and use that positive energy in my own life.”
"I started my career with Sunrise in November 2018 after five years at another assisted living facility. My favorite part of my job is helping make our residents day-to-day lives better. The team here at Sunrise of Highland Park is the best part of my job because of their commitment to all of our residents.
My hobbies include watching sports, attending Chicago Blackhawks games and concerts.
“I love working with the residents because every day I learn something new from them. The knowledge and life stories they are able to pass on to me is just so precious to me. Sunrise is just one big family. The environment is always great and there is never a dull moment at Sunrise.”
“I have been working at Sunrise Senior Living of Highland Park for many years. I started out as a Care Manager, then a Lead Care Manager and am now a Life Enrichment Manager (LEM). I was encouraged by my department coordinator to apply for the Life Enrichment Manager position because I am good with my residents, especially in a one-on-one setting. I truly love working as an LEM because I love making my residents as happy as they can be and connecting with them so I can reach the true person inside. Sunrise provides inspiration to push ourselves to be the very best for our residents.”
