"I began my career with Sunrise Senior Living in 2008 and have served in several roles along the way including Concierge, Activities Assistant, Business Office Manager and Resident Services Coordinator. I was nominated in 2010 for Sunrise’s Executive Director in Training Program and started my role as Executive Director in 2011. I attended Western Washington University and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management and earned my MBA in Organizational Management in 2012. Go Vikings!
I have a passion for senior living that has grown exponentially with my career at Sunrise. I enjoy being able to support seniors and their loved ones by providing a community that is warm, home-like, supportive and inspirational. I work daily to provide an atmosphere that encourages our core values of passion, joy in service, stewardship, respect and trust.
When I’m not supporting my Sunrise team, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 beautiful children (ages 4 & 6)".
"I have worked in senior living since 2009, and with Sunrise Senior Living since 2012. I began my career with Sunrise at Mercer Island as the Director of Sales, then became the Executive Director. Most recently, I have worked as an Area Manager for Business Development and am now thrilled to be a part of our beautiful new Issaquah location, helping to educate families on Sunrise’ mission, values, and quality care and services. I am passionate about helping families with the often difficult and challenging transition to senior living, offering guidance, support and resources along the way."
"I am an Occupational Therapist with over twenty years of experience working with seniors and their families. In addition, I have been a source of support and guidance as a Senior Housing and Care Consultant in the Seattle area. My family has walked through dementia with both my Father and my Aunt. Due to this, I have a deep understanding of what families are going through.
What I enjoy the most is collaborating with families and individuals and being a resource for them as they navigate through the journey of moving to our community. In addition, I love getting to know all the residents and learning their life stories.
When I am not at work, you will find me spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and watching the Seahawks."
“My career path in Nursing has been greatly influenced by my passion to care for and support seniors to live a life of their own choosing. I am fortunate to have worked in various care giving and nursing leadership positions over the last few decades, including Certified Nurse Assistant, Charge Nurse, Resident Care Manager and Director of Nursing, which have offered me invaluable experience and perspective on both working with elders and managing a dynamic team of caregivers. I value and appreciate the opportunity to get to know each resident and their family in an effort to create a comprehensive, fluid and individualized plan of care.
As a Registered Nurse (R.N.) and Resident Care Director, I am invested in creating purpose and meaning for each resident no matter where they may be physically or cognitively in the aging process. I am excited to pair my passion of serving seniors with the talents of our vibrant team at Sunrise of Issaquah in this beautiful new community. I spent several years prior to becoming a Registered Nurse indulging my love of reading and writing while earning both a Bachelor and Master of Arts degree in English Literature.
When I am not working or reading a new novel, I enjoy spending time with my family and our labradoodle, exploring hiking trails, parks and kayaking on the lakes in the beautiful Pacific Northwest."

My priority is to provide excellent service to our Residents and Team Members.
Outside of the community, I enjoy spending my time with my husband and my son traveling."
"With my transition to Sunrise of Issaquah, I bring almost 10 years of counseling and team development experience. During my time in this line of work I worked directly in staff and team development, motivation/engagement, and cohesion. I look forward to bringing this experience to my work with Sunrise. I have a BA from Western Washington University with a minor in Business Administration. My passion involves genuine and caring service of our residents and fellow team members.
Outside of the community, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my wife, daughter (age 1), and our two animals (1 cat and 1 dog). I also enjoy a range of hobbies and interests from backpacking to coffee shop hangouts."
“Caring for and engaging with others is my passion so it’s no surprise that shortly after joining Sunrise Senior Living in 2017 it was crystal clear I landed in a special place working in Activities. It is exciting to build and implement meaningful programming based on the Sunrise Live With Purpose principles. It is even more exciting to witness firsthand the joy our residents experience when they participate in activities that are geared to their individuality while at the same time being part of a community. I look forward to spending time with our residents and Sunrise Team each day."
"I love to nurture people. I take my job very seriously and think it is important to keep my guests well fed and hydrated. I know how much people look forward to their meals and hope to be a bright spot in your day. I enjoy cooking with the seasons. In the chilly fall, I love to make hearty soups and stews; and when the weather warms up, I look forward to firing up the BBQ on the patio! I also look forward to your suggestions and hearing about your family favorites.
I have been married to my wife, Erin, for nearly 12 years. We have a son, Alex, who is 9 and in the third grade. I also have a stepdaughter, Miranda, who is 22 and attends Western Washington University. We have two Portuguese Water Dogs (“Porties”), named Sophie and Amelie. They are actually cousins and are sweet, and a little dumb. We also have two cats, Lint (who looks like dryer lint) and is very social and talks to everyone. We also have a slinky all-black cat named Jane who is skittish and hides from everyone."
"I am so excited to be a part of the Sunrise Team! I spent the past 12 years as a preschool director helping to nurture the minds of little ones, lead a great team of teachers and support amazing parents! As the Sales Assistant for Sunrise of Issaquah I am looking forward to connecting with families to make moving into our community a seamless process. The connections I make with residents and their families will be the beginning of meaningful relationships!
When not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband, young adult children and our three miniature dachshunds! You can find us on walks, hikes and enjoying time at our cabin on Hood Canal."
