We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
"I began my career with Sunrise Senior Living in 2016 as the Director of Sales at Sunrise of Bellevue. In 2018, I was recommended for the Executive Director in Training Program and I successfully completed the program in December of 2019. This program allowed me to take the next step in my career as the Executive Director role at Sunrise of Northgate. As I continue to grow with Sunrise, I am frequently reminded of how much I love supporting residents and their families here at Sunrise.
The passion I developed for working with seniors, which ultimately inspired me to make the transition into the world of healthcare, grew out of supporting my parents through my father’s 10-year dementia journey. Despite the fact that I am at the beginning of my healthcare career, I have an extensive background in the hospitality industry which, coupled with a degree from the University of Washington, has provided me invaluable sills that I utilize daily in my current role as Executive Director.
My favorite thing about working at Sunrise is the diversity of the team members, the residents, and their families each with their own histories and experiences; I learn something new every day while honoring the history of so many cultures.
When I am not supporting the community, I enjoy traveling and hiking, spending time in my garden, and sharing time with my family and friends.”
"I have worked in senior living since 2009, and with Sunrise Senior Living since 2012. I began my career with Sunrise at Mercer Island as the Director of Sales, then became the Executive Director. Most recently, I have worked as an Area Manager for Business Development and am now thrilled to be a part of our beautiful new Issaquah location, helping to educate families on Sunrise’ mission, values, and quality care and services. I am passionate about helping families with the often difficult and challenging transition to senior living, offering guidance, support and resources along the way."
"I am an Occupational Therapist with over twenty years of experience working with seniors and their families. In addition, I have been a source of support and guidance as a Senior Housing and Care Consultant in the Seattle area. My family has walked through dementia with both my Father and my Aunt. Due to this, I have a deep understanding of what families are going through.
What I enjoy the most is collaborating with families and individuals and being a resource for them as they navigate through the journey of moving to our community. In addition, I love getting to know all the residents and learning their life stories.
When I am not at work, you will find me spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and watching the Seahawks."
"I have worked for Sunrise since 2016. I began my nursing career at the Sunrise of Bothell community, as a Designated Care Manager. While attending nursing school, my roles in the community also included Lead Care Manager, Concierge, and Medication Care Manager. I graduated from nursing school with my RN license in June, 2019 and was ecstatic to continue my nursing path as a Wellness Nurse. My passion for serving seniors and aptitude for leadership quickly earned me the role of Resident Care Director, where I can truly showcase my skillset and make the biggest difference for the residents.
I plan to continue advancing my nursing career by going back to school to earn my Master’s Degree and obtain my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license.
When I am not in the community, I can be found enjoying all that the great Pacific Northwest has to offer - whether it be hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, skiing, or camping."
"Hello, my name is Jamie. I have worked for Sunrise for seven years. It is a privilege to engage with our residents daily. Their sweet spirits and zest for life always brings a smile to my face.
At Sunrise, my favorite core value is Joy in Service. As I serve needs in our community I am filled with so much joy and compassion in my own life."
"I am so excited to be in the position of Terrace Club Coordinator at Sunrise of Issaquah. I bring to the role over 17 years of experience working with seniors, 10 of those years have been with Sunrise. I have enjoyed working in several roles with Sunrise. I have been an Activities Coordinator, Terrace Club Coordinator and a Reminiscence Coordinator. I have learned so much in each role and know how important it is to create an environment that offers quality of life along with purpose and meaning to each resident.
My husband and I moved here from California, and are so happy to be here. We have 4 sons and 2 puppies. My family and I enjoy exploring new places and finding adventure. We’re looking forward to finding all the fun places Washington has to offer."
“For over a decade prior to joining Sunrise, I worked in the tourism industry, organizing trips and events. Before that, I worked in senior care in Switzerland during the summers while in college, so I was thrilled to go back to my passion when I joined the Sunrise team in May 2020. I look forward to building connections with the residents and their families and setting up an array of activities that fit each resident’s individual needs and also promote interactions within the community. There is nothing more rewarding to me than witnessing our residents enjoying their day and my goal is to provide them with as many meaningful and joyful moments as I can.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling the world with my husband, discovering the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with our dog, and connecting with my family and friends in Switzerland.”
"I began my career with Sunrise Senior Living in May of 2019. I bring to Sunrise of Issaquah over 15 years of management and customer service experience in the hospitality industry. By combining my passion for individuals with diverse backgrounds and my interpersonal and organizational skills, I am able to drive team members to maximize their potential. My priority is to provide excellent service to our Residents and Team Members.
Outside of the community, I enjoy spending my time with my husband and my son traveling."
"With my transition to Sunrise of Issaquah, I bring almost 10 years of counseling and team development experience. During my time in this line of work I worked directly in staff and team development, motivation/engagement, and cohesion. I look forward to bringing this experience to my work with Sunrise. I have a BA from Western Washington University with a minor in Business Administration. My passion involves genuine and caring service of our residents and fellow team members.
Outside of the community, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my wife, daughter (age 1), and our two animals (1 cat and 1 dog). I also enjoy a range of hobbies and interests from backpacking to coffee shop hangouts."
"I love to nurture people. I take my job very seriously and think it is important to keep my guests well fed and hydrated. I know how much people look forward to their meals and hope to be a bright spot in your day. I enjoy cooking with the seasons. In the chilly fall, I love to make hearty soups and stews; and when the weather warms up, I look forward to firing up the BBQ on the patio! I also look forward to your suggestions and hearing about your family favorites.
I have been married to my wife, Erin, for nearly 12 years. We have a son, Alex, who is 9 and in the third grade. I also have a stepdaughter, Miranda, who is 22 and attends Western Washington University. We have two Portuguese Water Dogs (“Porties”), named Sophie and Amelie. They are actually cousins and are sweet, and a little dumb. We also have two cats, Lint (who looks like dryer lint) and is very social and talks to everyone. We also have a slinky all-black cat named Jane who is skittish and hides from everyone."
"I am so excited to be a part of the Sunrise Team! I spent the past 12 years as a preschool director helping to nurture the minds of little ones, lead a great team of teachers and support amazing parents! As the Sales Assistant for Sunrise of Issaquah I am looking forward to connecting with families to make moving into our community a seamless process. The connections I make with residents and their families will be the beginning of meaningful relationships!
When not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband, young adult children and our three miniature dachshunds! You can find us on walks, hikes and enjoying time at our cabin on Hood Canal."
"A few of many things I love about my job is meeting new residents and getting to hear their life accomplishments and stories. I also love getting to help and assist anyone that is in need of help.
I have one child for who I have full time, her name is Mylee and she is almost 11, she is my pride and joy. We have one pet cat, his name is Keelo and he is 1 years old.
My favorite hobby is Art, I love to draw and have taught my daughter to draw like my grandpa taught me. My favorite sports are football and baseball."
