My favorite part of my job is mentoring and helping shape other healthcare professionals which translates into quality care for the residents we serve. At Sunrise, there is a sense of family felt throughout the organization.

Outside of work, I love to scrapbook, shop, and travel.”

“I have 30+ years of experience in customer service, but what makes Sunrise different is the interaction I have with residents and their families. When I moved to Jacksonville from Pennsylvania, I left my family and friends behind. Sunrise became my family. The love and kindness (along with the many hugs) I receive on a daily basis is incredible.

When I’m not working, I love to ride my bike to the beach with my husband, Joe. We are beach people and enjoy anything that involves water, surf, and sand!”

"I have worked for Sunrise for 5 years. I have a B.S. degree in Health Care Administration with a concentration in Long Term Care. I love meeting new residents and families and being a resource to help them navigate choosing an assisted living and everything that entails.

I love the mission of Sunrise and being part of a team that champions the lives of seniors every day.

I love spending time with my husband and my four daughters. I love to run, cook and I volunteer in women’s ministries at my church."

"My name is Maychon Cue and I am the reminiscence coordinator. I started as a care manager with Sunrise of Jacksonville in September 2018. Prior to working at Sunrise, I was a social worker at a skilled nursing facility for 3 years.

My favorite part of my job is my residents. Everyday the residents find a new way to put a smile on my face. The best part about working at Sunrise is working along side an amazing team that have the passion to serve our residents.

In my spare time, I enjoy binge watching shows on Netflix, spending time with family, and traveling."

"I have worked at Sunrise for 11 months. Before coming to Sunrise of Jacksonville, I was the Director of Plant Ops Ashford Court and before that 20 plus years working in government contracting with the USMC and USN

My favorite part of working here is my paycheck (just kidding). I love interacting with residents and families along with the smiles and hugs when we get to make someone’s day a little brighter.

In my spare time I like to go boating, fishing and travel"

“My name is Michelle Cypranowski and I am the assisted living coordinator. I have been with Sunrise since 2004 where I spent most of my time with the company as an assisted living coordinator in Illinois. I relocated to Florida and have been the assisted living coordinator here, in Jacksonville, since May 2017. 

My favorite part of my job is that not only do I get to help people every day, I also get to have fun. The best part of my day is usually every time one of our residents walks by my office, he tells me a joke to make me laugh. I look forward to it when he comes around the corner! 

The best part about working for Sunrise of Jacksonville is that I can be proud of my job on a daily basis. Through the residents, families, management, and front line team, I am a part of something great. Throughout my time with the company, I have never been let down by the high standards of care or the attention the company places on its team members. I work with a great team who are all exceptional at what they do. We have great days and we have challenging days, but at the end of those days we are all here to support each other.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach or spending time at the pool with my two kids. I also make sure to spend time with my cocker spaniel, Molly who normally follows me around wherever I go.”

Activities & Volunteer Coordinator

“I have been with Sunrise of Jacksonville since May of 2017, and started as an activities and volunteer assistant. Prior to coming to Sunrise, I worked as a life enrichment coordinator for another assisted living community here in Jacksonville. I relocated to Florida from Redlands, California where I was employed as a registered respiratory therapist for 13 years, rotating through assisted living communities, secondary nursing facilities and at Riverside Community Hospital, a level 2 trauma center.

My favorite part of my job is the residents and the special bond I have with them. I so enjoy spending time with them, listening to their stories, and learning from each and every one of them. I love watching their excitement when we finish a new task or learn something new. We all have fun together and laugh a lot. It’s like having a large family; a home away from home.

In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family; going out and doing fun activities with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson who share my household. I take joy in playing music with my son and also jamming with local musicians. I am also deeply passionate about what I do as an Activities Coordinator. So, with some of my downtime, I enjoy creating crafts and preparing for special events and projects.”
