"I joined the Sunrise family at Johns Creek as the Executive Director on April 1, 2020. However, I have worked with Sunrise prior to my return this year. I have been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for nearly 18 years and served as a resident advocate for years. I love what I do and I have a passion to serve seniors.
The favorite part of my job is being able to form personal relationships with the residents, families and team members of the community. The best part about working at Sunrise is being able to model servant leadership with an amazing team. Sunrise offers a great support system that allows for our seniors to champion quality of life.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going to church and giving back to the community."
“I began my career with Sunrise in October, 1998. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Psychology, and from Fairleigh Dickinson University of NJ with an MBA in Marketing, Sunrise is a perfect fit! My favorite part of my job is providing solutions for families in crisis. When I see the relief on their faces on move-in day, I know that I have done my job. The best part of working at Sunrise is feeling that I have made a difference in someone’s life – by helping them to find the best solution for their loved ones and by showing them the quality of care and compassion that Sunrise represents. In my spare time, I enjoy knitting, playing piano, traveling, painting, attending concerts and the theater, and hanging out with my two dogs.”
"I was delighted to join the Sunrise team in 2018 to contribute with my 34 years of healthcare experience. I spent 10 years as Director of Nursing for skilled nursing facilities, 15 years in acute care & ER nursing as well as 3 years as a dialysis nurse. As many nurses do, I started my career as a CNA, so I truly have a passion for caregiving. Meeting with the residents, their families, hearing their stories and hearing about their life experiences is hands-down the best part of working at Sunrise. For the first time in my career, I can take the time to do that! At Sunrise I have the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with our residents, whereas in acute and skilled settings I had to focus on treating ailments and sending patients onto the next level of care. Working at Sunrise affords me the opportunity to take care of seniors in their own home, where they can thrive!
"Prior to joining Sunrise Senior Living, I began my career in healthcare as a medical laboratory tech. I joined the team at Sunrise of Johns Creek in 2018. The favorite part about my job is being able to socialize with all of our residents, as well as my fellow team members. Sunrise has created a fantastic culture; it is well structured, and we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for seniors. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband and my three daughters."
"I joined the team at Sunrise of Johns Creek in August 2019, and I have been in the senior living industry since 2013.
I love interacting with our residents and listening to their stories. Every resident has something to teach me about aging gracefully and gratefully. I like that I have the opportunity to make someone smile or make their day a little better! The best part of working at Sunrise is the teamwork and camaraderie of our team members.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my sister and her family. My niece and nephew bring a lot of joy to my husband and me. I am a voracious reader – I always have 2-3 books that I’m reading at the same time! I enjoy reading cookbooks as much as I enjoy cooking! My husband and I also enjoy traveling, hiking and watching documentaries."
