Activities & Volunteer Coordinator

"I practically grew up in the Sunrise world! My mother was a med tech and would bring to me to work with her on the weekends sometimes at the age of 9. When I turned 11, I began volunteering. Once I turned 16, I got my first job in the kitchen. I have served in various roles over 10 years, now being a coordinator. The best part of working at Sunrise is being able to make my residents feel alive. Giving them a purpose and a reason to smile each day means the world to me and my team. They teach me new life lessons every day. I wake up with a new meaning; the relationship is definitely a two-way street. I have fostered lifetime friendships being a part of Sunrise.

When I’m not at Sunrise, I enjoy spending time with my 1 year old daughter. She keeps me busy! I also enjoy being outdoors, shopping, decorating, and the summertime."

Reminiscence Care Coordinator

"I began my Sunrise of Lower Makefield career in 2014 as a life enrichment manager in the Reminiscence neighborhood. I’ve had a passion for memory care long before my time working in this community. In the spring of 2019, I completed the DCIT program and was promoted to the Reminiscence Coordinator. I love providing our residents with good days and taking the time to understand people who may not be able to tell me what is on their minds. My Sunrise team has been very supportive, including providing me the opportunity to complete my Personal Care Home Administrator License. 

In my spare time, I enjoy incorporating my hobbies into my neighborhood such as, playing guitar and solving puzzles."

Personal Care Coordinator

"I have been at Sunrise of Lower Makefield for 5 years. I started as a care manager in personal care neighborhood and after nine months was promoted to the Live with Fulfillment Manager position in the Activities Department. September 2019 I was extremely grateful and excited to start my journey as the Personal Care Coordinator.
Sunrise of Lower Makefield is my second home. I love spending time connecting with all the residents and my team members, getting to know them, and watching my Sunrise family continue to grow. I’m truly blessed to have a career that I’m so passionate about and feel like I can make a positive difference in people’s lives.
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, whether it’s camping, hiking, gardening or travelling. I love spending quality time with my family and friends.

Maintenance Coordinator

"I have been the Maintenance Coordinator for the past 6 years here at Sunrise of Lower Makefield. The best part of my job is interacting with the residents daily, whether it’s changing a light bulb, programming a remote, or replacing a P-tac. I truly enjoy conversing with the residents and getting to know their life story. I love my job and coming to work every day. I’m extremely thankful for my Sunrise family!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, driving my Jeep, and surfing whenever I get the opportunity. I am a big Philly sports fan."
