As Executive Director since November 2019, Sepideh Ebrahimi offers Sunrise of Lynn Valley almost two decades of experience in Senior Care Living overseeing the provision of high-quality care and service to seniors, including those living with dementia. Formally trained within the field of Hospitality and Administration, Sepideh is accredited in developing and overseeing the delivery of Care by specialized Hospitality and Management by The City and Guilds of London Institute.
Sepideh is proud of her talented and professional team at Sunrise and enjoys their energy, joy and zest they bring to work each day. She takes great pleasure in being an integral part of enriching residents’ lives at Sunrise and making a difference every day as well as building relationships with their families.
Brenda Anderson joined Sunrise of Lynn Valley as the Resident Care Director in June 2017. As a Registered Nurse, she has over 20 years of experience in the home care sector, specifically managing the care provided to seniors living independently in their homes.
Brenda’s focus at Sunrise is individual wellness and continued independence with an individual plan of assistance provided by her staff of well-trained care managers available 24 hours a day. She takes pride in the quality of care, respect and dignity shown to the residents and their families on a daily basis. Brenda enjoys her responsibilities as well as interacting with the residents and listening to their stories.
As Director of Sales, Lisa Warren plays an integral role supporting families in their search for a senior living community as well as transitioning residents to their new home at Sunrise of Lynn Valley.
With an extensive background in sales, marketing and customer service, Lisa brings a significant amount of experience as well as compassion and empathy to lead the sales and marketing team. She is thrilled to be in a rewarding career at Sunrise and one of her greatest joys is making residents smile every day!
Estrellita Garcia is the Reminiscence Coordinator and has been with Sunrise at Lynn Valley for nearly 17 years. She takes great pride in maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for seniors with memory loss and dementia, including its most common form, Alzheimer’s.
Estrellita oversees the Care Managers and Life Enrichment Managers in the Reminiscence Neighborhood and together they ensure social interaction with memory-focused activities, Validation Therapy and other special memory care techniques. Her career at Sunrise has been very rewarding and gives her personal satisfaction as she looks back over the years of making a difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
We are pleased to announce Ron Jarata as our new Residential Care Coordinator. Ron has been with Sunrise of Lynn Valley for over four years caring for our residents as a Wellness Nurse. He is now responsible for facilitating and leading our team of Designated Care Managers in our Residential Care Neighborhood. Originally, his career path was in culinary arts school to become a Red Seal Chef when some soul searching changed his pursuits to a more gratifying one as an Licensed Practicing Nurse. Ron’s true passion of supporting seniors in a resident centered approach and championing their quality of life aligns with the ideals at Sunrise. He is committed to providing quality care to our residents in an environment that feels like home and nurturing relationship with their families.
Laura Nelson is the Activities & Volunteer Coordinator and originally started as the Concierge at Sunrise of Lynn Valley. She is a shining example of how employees can grow within the company.
With her past experience in leading activities for the West Vancouver Senior Activity Centre as well as a local daycare, Laura plans diverse daily activities for residents to thrive in our Community. She even drives the big Sunrise bus! Laura enjoys spending time with residents and through their unique stories, she discovers exciting ideas for new activities!
Our recently hired Business Office Coordinator, Samina Dhanani, brings her human resources and financial management expertise to Sunrise of Lynn Valley. Samina is responsible for assisting with business administration, human resources and accounting, including payroll and billing.
Her volunteer background allows Samina to apply a compassion and kindness when interacting with residents’ family members on billing, as well as inspiring team members to grow as people and professionals through Sunrise training opportunities. It also makes Samina smile to see our residents happily engaged in activities as she goes about her day!
Jennifer Calagos is a proud example of how Sunrise promotes talented employees from within our community. Jennifer started as a dishwasher and worked her way up to Dining Services Coordinator in a matter of months! Jennifer’s focus is on ‘from-scratch’ cooking using fine ingredients that favor natural herbs and spices, as well as many local and fresh ingredients to serve our residents delicious and well-balanced meals each day.
Jennifer is dedicated to giving our residents choice and variety of seasonal menus in order to keep them healthy as well as happy! She takes great pride in providing residents with a pleasant dining experience each day!
As Maintenance Coordinator, Ariel R. Buiza is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Facilities Management functions in our community and around the lovely grounds that surround it. His understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance, keeps Sunrise of Lynn Valley a safe, clean and comfortable environment for our residents.
Ariel previously worked on passenger cruise ships in USA and Worldwide, engineering construction supervisor both in Oil -Gas Facility and High Rise Buildings and demonstrates an uncanny ability to handle multiple priorities with a smile on his face!
Samantha Falconer recently joined Sunrise of Lynn Valley as Sales Assistant and she is very enthusiastic about embarking on her career in senior living. Her experience in sales, marketing and customer service combined with her ability to bring positive energy and creativity to the community make her a natural! Samantha’s primary objective is supporting sales and marketing as they assist families on their senior living journey and champion the quality of life for all seniors. Her favorite thing about working at Sunrise is getting to know the amazing residents that make our community so special!
Miss Madison is one of the cutest Beagles ever and her sweet, gentle personality provides joy to our residents at Sunrise Lynn Valley each day! She is great therapy dog for everyone in our community!
