Dane SmartDane Smart

Executive Director

Dane Smart has working in Senior Living Care for since 2011. As a geriatric social worker he has always made it a focus to put the residents first. 

Working in both the assisted living and skilled nursing settings has helped to see the macro approach for all different disciplines that are involved in each seniors’ care. Dane has a firm dedication to those he serves and leads with his heart.

Mary WatkinsMary Watkins 

Director of Sales

“I began my career with Sunrise in 2005. I spent five years with another community in Bellevue and then returned to Sunrise. It was certainly nice to come home to Sunrise!

My favorite part of the job is introducing new families to our great team and sharing how the Sunrise Principles of Service and the Sunrise Signatures guide what we do and who we are.  I can see the comfort and confidence this brings to them as they consider the benefits to their loved one.  

At Sunrise, we are surrounded by a wonderful group of people who joyfully care for our residents throughout the community with the knowledge that each of us makes a difference in someone’s life every day.  

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, volunteering at my church, quilting, and getting outside in our beautiful Pacific Northwest.”

"I was born in California but grew up as a Navy kid. I started out as a Certified Nursing assistant in 1998. I earned my LPN license in 2001 and later my RN.  

In my nursing career, I have worked in oncology, neuroscience, skilled nursing, home health, and community clinic nursing to name a few"

Activities and Volunteer Coordinator

“I joined the Sunrise team in October 2015 and have been a member of the Lynnwood team since July 2014. Spending time with the residents brings me great joy and I am grateful for the good times we share.  Generating happy hearts through activities, outings or simply through conversation is always rewarding; every day is an incredible experience.  

Nurturing the spirit and celebrating individuality, along with our other Sunrise Principals of Service, encourages us all to get to know each other better and allows for us to make the most of every day and thrive as a community. 

When I’m not at work, I like to travel with my family and spend time with my sweet dog, Claudia.”

Josephine SuarezJosephine Suarez

Assisted Living Coordinator

Jo has worked in the Senior Living Industry since 2002.  In the past, she has had opportunities to work as a Wellness Coordinator, Assisted Living Coordinator, and Memory Care Program Director.  

She enjoys hiking, cooking/baking, traveling, wine-tasting, and container gardening. She has been married eleven years.

Sean McNabbSean McNabb

Dining Services Coordinator

"I have been in the culinary industry for over 20 years and have had the pleasure of serving at sunrise for 5 years. I have been an integral part and have played many roles in various restaurants of different cuisine.

I was trained by a classic French chef but have had the honor of working in restaurants with many cuisines. These include American, Rustic French, Bistro Style Dining, Italian Cuisine, Hawaiian Cuisine, and Pacific Rim Fusion Cuisine."

Maintenance Coordinator

"I was born in Portland and have lived in Seattle for the last 13 years. I have been a maintenance man for 18 years and take great pride in the facility services provided for our community. 

Outside of work I spend my free time with my son and helping coach his baseball team."
