What makes Sunrise so different is that we care and help our residents through the end of life. It is very special that we rarely have to transfer our residents to nursing homes as we can meet their needs right here.
Our team members become part of the resident’s family as they are able age in place. I decided to go to nursing school after my children went to school full time. I am a lifetime member of the Marlboro First Aid Squad so it was a natural transition to go into nursing.
I worked in CentraState Medical Center on the cardiac until for many years before following my passion of geriatrics and transitioning to Assisted Living. I live in town and I always knew I would someday work in this community.
I am married and I have 3 children who are now grown. I love all animals and I am very involved in dog rescue.
Barbara says she loves spending time with the residents and learning about their past experiences. She calls her team compassionate, supportive and dedicated and says she truly takes pride in the care they provide.
When she’s not at work, Barbara enjoys family time, traveling, listening to music, cooking and taking walks on the beach.
Diane has been with Sunrise of Marlboro, since it first opened in 2001. As the first person that most visitors meet when they walk in our doors, Diane tries to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome to our home, saying, "Getting to know each resident and their family, and being able to help them acclimate, is a true privilege."
Diane loves to spend her free time with her family, especially her three grandchildren, and her friends.
