We’re welcoming brighter days while continuing to promote health and safety.
"I started on the Marlboro first aid squad and have a lifetime membership. After having my children, I went back to school for nursing. I spent 8 years on the Progressive Care Unit at Centrastate Hospital and then accepted my first leadership position in geriatrics, which was always my passion. I have since been in geriatrics for 11 years. My favorite part of my job is making a difference in someone’s life; resident and family alike. The most rewarding part is when a family member says to me “I finally was able to have a great night’s sleep." That’s when you know all the hard work is worth it.
When not working, I spend most of my free time volunteering for various dog rescue groups. Although my house is at capacity with 6 dogs, I often can be found doing transports or working at adoption events."
"I have grown within Sunrise starting as a care manager to leading the entire Reminiscence neighborhood, as the Reminiscence Coordinator. Other positions I've held are Med Tech & Resident Care Coordinator. I am proud to have developed a successful memory care support group for Sunrise of Marlboro families. Additionally, I was recently named as a recipient of the Memory Care Leader award for Sunrise. My favorite part of working for Sunrise is creating a tenured team that truly cares for the well-being of our residents.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 sons. I like traveling, heavy metal music, going to the beach, hiking, working out, and spending time with family and friends."
"I started at Sunrise as a care manager. My favorite part about Sunrise of Marlboro is that I get to spend time with the residents the entire day. Every conversation is a new adventure and I am constantly learning through them. They make me happy and I know that I've done a good job when I see them smile.
In my spare time, I spend time with my husband and two children. I also enjoy cooking, cleaning, and going on walks."
"I have held many positions here at Sunrise and look forward to continuing to grow within the company. My favorite part of working at Sunrise is smiling and laughing with the residents. It brightens all of our days!
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family, going out dinning, shopping, or just walking on the boardwalk."
Margarie Hunt has been with Sunrise of Marlboro since September 2009 and is the Lead Care manager for our Assisted Living neighborhood. Prior to Sunrise she worked as a Personnel Manager.
Margarie says the best part about working for Sunrise is being able to have the forever bond that is built between herself, the residents, families and her coworkers. Margarie enjoys helping our new resident’s transition into our community by building personalized relationship with them and their families. Outside of spending time with her Sunrise family Margarie enjoys spending time with her daughter, although they don’t get to see each other every day they talk on the phone.
Linda joined our Sunrise of Marlboro team in June of 2007. She enjoys her job and team members, but especially loves spending time talking with our residents. She is always happy to address their concerns and help in any way she can with a smile. When not at Sunrise, Linda enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her family and especially her three grandchildren.
