You are not alone in your journey although you may sometimes feel as though you are. Please take time out for yourself once a month to join our experienced team at Sunrise of Metairie and other caregivers just like you to offer support, share suggestions, and talk about their experiences and challenges. Diane Smith, LPN, will help educate and support you on your journey as the caregiver of a loved one with dementia.  Diane is a nurse and the Reminiscence Coordinator here at Sunrise of Metairie. Diane has many years of experience working with people who have memory impairment. Her nursing skills combined with her compassion help caregivers not only understand the needs of their loved one with dementia but will also support you and your needs as a caregiver.  Please join us in the 2nd floor activity room.
