shannon cordShannon Cord–Team Member since 2020

Executive Director

"I began in the healthcare industry in 2012 working in sales and business offices prior to becoming an Executive Director at Sunrise. My favorite part about working at Sunrise is building lasting relationships with not only the residents & staff, but the families & friends of our residents as well.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughter."

Courtney Catrone.DOS_MPCourtney Catrone–Team Member since 2018

Director of Sales

"I joined this amazing team in March of 2018. I’ve worked in the assisted living world since 2009, at first in the dietary department and then making my way into Sales in 2016.

What I love the most about my job is the gratification I feel when I know we enriched the life of another resident and their family. I truly love bringing Sunrise to more and more families and making their lives better because of it. The best part about working for Sunrise is the love! It is the love you get from everyone—the residents, their families and our team members make it a joy to be here every day.

When I am not at Morris Plains, I am with my son, watching him learn and grow. I am a HUGE Yankee fan and love to attend Yankee games often. I also like to vacation to Virginia and South Carolina with friends and family."

Reminiscence Coordinator

"I have been with Sunrise since 2006 doing what I love best. Since transferring from Randolph to Morris Plains, I did not relent on ensuring that my residents have the utmost care they deserve. I have served in different capacities from a care manager to a Medication aide, Lead care manager, Reminiscence Supervisor, and finally, as a Reminiscence Coordinator.

My dedication, devotion, and hard work in serving our residents, led me to Orlando, Florida to receive the Joy in Service award during a ceremony at a Leadership Conference held in Florida. The award really made me felt appreciated for the joy in service I render to our lovely residents.

The best part of my life that makes me feel good is going home and feeling that I have had a positive impact on our residents. A situation which makes me wanting to come to work every day just for someone’s life to be better."

Carla Pollonais.ALC_MPCarla Pollonais–Team Member since 2015

"I have worked with Sunrise for 5 years. I started as Med Tech and currently the Assisted Living Coordinator. I have had this role for 1 year.

My favorite part of the job is interacting with the residents and family members. I love to watch their progress when receiving physical and occupational therapy. The best part of working at Sunrise is seeing the residents happy and thriving in our community.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family. Whether we are traveling, watching movies, or just hanging out at home."

Richard Schiemer.MC_MPRichard Schiemer–Team Member since 2015

Maintenance Coordinator

"I have been with Sunrise for four years and six months. Before this I was a residential home builder.

My favorite part of the job is seeing the look of amazement and gratitude on the resident faces when I complete a task for them. This usually involves plumbing! The best part of working at Sunrise is interacting with the residents and the friendships that I have developed with my co workers.

In my spare time i enjoy visiting my children in Newport R.I."

Activity & Volunteer Coordinator

"My name is Anna and I am the Activity and Volunteer Coordinator at Sunrise of Morris Plains! I have worked for Sunrise for four years.

My favorite part of my job is knowing that every day I make a difference in the lives of my residents. Seeing the smiles on my residents faces and knowing they are happy and feel loved is what gives me the motivation to be the best that I can be. I love working for Sunrise because of the cheerful atmosphere, our wonderful, dedicated team, and our loving residents. I believe in the core values that we abide by here at Sunrise. We treat people with dignity and respect, and we care for everyone as we would our own family. It is what sets us apart and really makes us unique!

In my spare time, I enjoy the company of my friends and family, long walks with my Jack Russell, “Oakly” and being outdoors.

I truly treasure the connections I have built here at Sunrise, not only with my residents, but with their families, and our team alike. I look forward to creating many more cherished memories for a long time to come!"
